Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum, but I have a question. My Girlfriend and I recently came back from a trip to WDW, where we had the quick-service dining plan, and are going back in September. This time we have table service, and are a little stressed. So my question to you all is, what are some of the best restaurants, what should we stay away from, and do you have any other tips we could use. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you in advance, I look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the DIS!!! The problem with your post is that you will have as many opinions as you will posts. Have you thought about looking at some of the dinning menus, that may be a good place to start. You'll find a link at the very top of this page that says Dining if you click on it you will find the menus.

Some of my favorites are, Kona Cafe, Boma, Crystal Palace, Hollywood Brown Derby, Sci-Fi Dine In Theater, Tusker House and just about anywhere in the world showcase.

Welcome! You will find a lot of help here on the DIS. However, no matter what people say, I think you should try what you want to try. I always ask for opinions on where to go but ultimately make my reservations at places that look interesting to ME. With that being said, you'll need a place to start. Some restaurants are known for certain things or have fun themes. My all-time favorite table service meal is dinner at Ohana in the Polynesian. It's great! Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom has a yummy breakfast buffet (and I'm not really a big buffet kind of person). Kona Cafe is famous for their Tonga Toast (banana stuffed french toast!), for example. I did not enjoy Whispering Canyon Cafe and my last time at Chefs de France was not very good.

Good luck! Whatever you choose you will have so much fun trying new places!

Thank you! I have loked at the menus, the only problem is that What I want are the opinions of people. I want to get as many opinions as possible, and kindof correlate them and crossreference to get a big picture kinda thing. I'm a bit of a dork that way. And thank you for welcoming me!

Our favorite places that are 1 TS credit are:
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge (only have been for dinner but we LOVE it)
Biergarten in Epcot
San Angel Inn in Epcot (not always the best food but the atmosphere is fun)
Crystal Palace in MK
Sanaa at AK is new but I can not wait to try it!
Sci-Fi in Hollywood Studios is a cool atmosphere and pretty good food

Not sure where you are staying but Maya Grill at Coronado Springs is a big "bang" for your buck on the dining plan. We ate there 2 time in our last stay, one time it was AWESOME and the second time it was just okay. But it might be worth a try if you are looking for something different.

Our familys favorite is Ohana's at the Poly. LOVE LOVE the food.

We also enjoyed Boma. The food was different but not so weird we didn't want to try things. The atmosphere is fun and it was great to go see the AKL.

We like the bakery on main st in MK. The cinnamon rolls were to die for! REALLY. We talked about them for weeks after we got home. Plus the servings were huge here and so we got two cinamon rolls and a drink for 1 CS and could split it between 4 of us!

there are also a couple of good sandwhich places in DTD

Allears.net has a rate and review section including dining. Follow the link and read what others have written.

(but Prime Time Cafe at DHS is a must)

I would definitely start with this recommendation! Allears has (relatively) recent menus and a lot of reviews for each place! Some of our favorite 1 TS places are:

Kona Cafe - any meal
Grand Floridian Cafe - definitely breakfast, trying dinner this summer
Crystal Palace - favorite character buffet
Boma - favorite buffet
The Wave - BEST breakfast on property - thinking about trying dinner
EPCOT WS restaurants - San Angel Inn was awful, the others that we have tried have been pretty good. That would include Biergarten, Le Cellier, Marrakesh, Le Chef De France, Toyko Dining

Hope that helps! if you have any individual restaurants you want to know about, PM me or post back here. We have eaten at quite a few of them over the past few years!

All of the 2 TS credit restaurants are fabulous - it is your call as to whether or not they are worth it for you though.
