Disney Dining Res/ADR's rant

Ok, so I admit, I am an obsessive Disney Trip planner. That being said, it is a great disappointment that despite purchasing the dining plan, despite planning on booking ADRs on day 180 at 6AM for 10 days, I come to find out I cannot, and will have to make a phone call at 7AM instead.
Knowing that we will be in the car and not have cell service at 7AM, this makes me more grumpy.
So, trying to be proactive, I called Disney today to see if they could at least link my dining plan and resort reservation so that I could book my 10 days on day 180. Nope! It is a known glitch, they are working on it, it will not likely be fixed by next weekend, and there is nothing they can do. They honestly did not seem very motivated either. This would not be a problem except that they make some of these reservations so competitive to begin with!

Anyway, I hope this information helps some of you not get caught off guard at 6AM on day 180. Get the extra sleep and just call at 7.

I had this problem too. I had not trouble getting any of mine though. I think the hardest weeks to wait til 7 would be right before Christmas and the week of Christmas. I did hear that Thanksgiving was hard too. You should be fine. Even today, 5 days later, Im making changes to my 11ppl ressies with no problems. GL! Well except for Ohana dinner.

We are arriving on Sept 14th, think we are 104 days out and when I tried to book at 180 days out at 6am, I could not because even though all my reservations were validated on the disney website, the "dining" part, did not recognize my reservation. I had to call to make all my dining ressies. That was over 75 days ago and there were alot of people at that time complaining about the same thing. Wonder why they can't fix the problem?

I always book them daily. There always seems to be more available at the exact 180, than there is at 180 + 10 anyway. I'm pretty sure they hold quite a few back for the 180 date.

Sorry you had such a frustrating morning!

Yesterday was my 180 day and the online dining reservations worked fine for me. Set my alarm for 5:47, started booking my reservations at 6:03AM. I got everything I wanted pretty near the time I wanted it. (except Coral Reef for lunch due to Candlelight Processional (CP)

I called at 7 to make sure all reservations really "took" and they all did. I called to verify what I had been reading on here, that Epcot is blocked for the first week in Dec, and the CM verified that it is indeed because of (CP).

So, don't give up hope people, my online booking at 6 AM worked like a charm!

I booked mine this morning as well, with no problems. Today was my 180 days, and I was able to link my reservation and book 180 + 10. Hope it keeps working this well for everyone else!

I had this issue. Couldn't get them to link. And then I got called into work for an emergency and couldn't call at 7am. I had to leave ADRs in my husband's hands. The horror! Thank goodness he was able to get everything we wanted. Only had to compromise on 2 times and they're both within 10 minutes of what we wanted. Now to wait for CP packages...

I stayed up for 6am and made my online reservations.
Although I logged into my account, when I went to plan out the 10 days, I have to "Click Here" to re-enter my reservation confirmation info to be able to plan out the other days. Other then that, things went well.

The only places I didn't get yet were Le Cellier and Rose & Crown, due to the CP schedule. I will keep trying back for those, but I do have backups reserved.

I had the exact same issues for Epcot ADR reservations, today; probably because of CP.

I have been making some other ADRs for outside Epcot, today.
