Disney Dining Plans

There is an option to add on multiple days of dining vouchers to the Resort Magic Package. Has anyone had experience with this? Does it save any money?

I decided to do this for our upcoming trip. Per the AAA reservation book, you can save up to (I believe...I don't have the book in front of me) $131 for a family of 4 depending on what plan you get. We are going for 5 days/4 nights and we went with the 5 day plan that has 13 options, including 1 charc breakfast and dinner, 3 $5 snack, etc....

Even if it isn't a great value, we do it out of convenience. We have gotten one of the dining plans on each of our trips to WDW as well, although this is the first for DLR. But I would rather pay for nearly everything upfront, so I am less concerned with how much cash I bring, what I need for each day for what expense, etc...because one major part is taken care of.
