Disney dining plan

we just got the dining plan through triple aaa and we paid $146.00 total for 2 adults for 10 days...that seems really inexpensive...anybody else find this deal...it seems almost to good to be true..it breaks down to about $8.00 a day per adult and we get all those meals....my gf said its part of the disney 50th anniversary celebration......comments.. pop century in 15 days baby.

umm maybe i'm wrong but i thought it was free dining now. maybe you get a room rate that is better and also pay a little for the dining ?

that was what it was ..we gave up our triple aaa rate and got the meal plan...it just seems to good to be true.

For the counter service and sit down plan?

the same deal.. 1 counter service...1 sit down meal...1 snack for each of us every day of our stay...it's like a gift from heaven

By giving up the AAA discount rate (that would've saved you the $146 or whatever it was), you were able to get the free Disney Dining Plan. There's been lots of discussion about that on here.

If you book by 8/20/05, for check ins to onsite WDW resorts beginning some time in August (don't know exact date) through 10/4/05, you can get dining added free to your resort/MYW ticket package. You will have to pay rack rate for your room, which is probably why your bill went up 8/night. I think it was a great trade off for you! If we could get free dining for our stay, I would've jumped on it, but we are not checking for a few days after the promotion ends.

now why is disney doing that...is it because of the 50th celebration or are they trying to bring more people to the parks...it really saved us hundreds on our vacation seeing that we will be in the world for 10 days...i love it.
