Disney Dining Plan

Is it an on site resort? If it is you can just call and add it to your package. If you are staying off-site you can not purchase a dining plan.

Yes my hotel is on Disney property. However, I purchased my hotel and my ticket separately. Can I still get the dining plan? Thanks! God bless

You need to have a package (room + tickets) through Disney in order to get the dining plan, in most situations. The exceptions would be if you are staying at a DVC resort on points or if you are an AP holder booking a room on an AP room-only discount. If you purchased your tickets from a 3rd party or if you purchased them from Disney, but not through CRO, then you cannot get the dining plan. No big loss because it isn't a money-saver when you pay OOP for it.

Actually you can book a ticketless package which is just room and Dining plan. You have to call though, it cannot be booked via the website. I just did this so I know it can be done. I actually had room only reservations for me and my sister and called and told the CM I wanted to change my room only into a ticketless package. They refunded the Room Only deposit to my card and charged the $200 package deposit. i bought my tickets through undercover tourist.

I had heard about this but there was a booking window that closed at the end of March, although it was good for any date during 2014. From what I understood, you had to pay the rack rate in order to get it. Apparently they extended the booking window. Were you able to apply a room discount to the reservation?

Yes you can! Make sure you do it before 3 days of your check in date, can't do it after 3 days.

Yes, I booked my hotel through travelocity and was able to use a promo code. Guys, I really appreciate you all helping me. I really want to do the dining plan because I think it would eliminate the hassle of paying for my food on a daily basis. I was thinking of getting the dining plan, using that for my lunch and dinner and buying protein bars for my breakfast and water for during the day since it's hot in August. I would buy only enough for my time at Disney (5.5 days). But does it make sense to buy the Dining Plan? After all, I am technically gonna be there 5 and a half days (I am getting off a cruise Monday morning and leaving Saturday night). In a way, it could work. On Saturday, I can do a table service Saturday morning, quick service for afternoon, and a get a snack to take to the airport. The mug would be good for coffee and diet soda. What do you guys think? Thanks! God bless!!
