Is it possible to get the Disney Dining Plan with just hotel reservations but not a full tickey package?

If you aren't DVC,you must purchase at least a one day MYW base ticket. Also,you will be charged rack rate for the room.

That's right. You'll need to buy a one day base ticket for everyone in your party. However, you don't have to use it on the same trip. You can save it for another time (and upgrade to more days or AP)
