Disney Dining Plan

I have been trying to find some information on the dining plan, I have looked on the disney site but it doesn't give the currency. Does anyone have any info on this and is it worth the money? We are not fancy eaters so I am wondering if it will be good value.

We are doing the dining plan in February - it is £19.99 an adult which is for one counter service, one table service, one snack. This price includes the tip at the table service meal and on the whole you should save money - plus it allows you to not worry whether you have got enough money on you at the time of paying. We worked it out that we are saving about £150 for our stay. Sorry I dont know what the price is for children though!

We are dining at Le Cellier, Spoodles, Nacoosees, Boma.

The way I costed the Disney Dining Plan up was to take some average meal values by looking at WDW menus, then to see if it came out as more or less compared to the Dining Plan.

It wasn't cheaper for us (but we have the Disney Dining Experience card which gives us 20% off various dining options). I think you just have to play with the numbers and see how it comes out

A lot of people like to know they have pre-paid and don't have to worry about the food budget which may be a benefit, depending on your point of view.

Just wondering can you use one of the meals as a fantasmic dinner package? Also if I wanted to book it can I do it direct with Disney as we haven't booked a package, Pop Century was booked through BA.

It seems a lot but it could turn out to be a bit of a saver in the end.

Cazzie..You will only be able to get the dining plan if you book Hotel room and tickets thru disney.
As you have booked your hotel thru BA you will have to ask them if they offer the disney dining plan and book it thru them with tickets also.
BUT.....If BA do offer it it will probably be more expensive than booking it with disney.
Iam doing the dining plan myself in August....I booked a fly drive with Travel city direct and Then booked Hotel, tickets and dining package thru Disney directly.
Travel city direct, do offer the dining plan but it was quite a bit more expensive than thru disney and also TCDs park tickets were more expensive.

Thanks in that case it looks like it could be a no goer which is a shame as I think we would have gone with it. I don't think BA will do it as I have already paid in full for the hotel. Thanks everyone for your help.

BA do the Dining Plan. They charge £22 for adults (I can't remember the child prices) - far better than the £27 Virgin were charging when they were offering it, but still more than booking direct with Disney - not too bad a mark up, especially as it includes your 15%-20% tip.
