6-night stay for 4 people in December.

I estimate we would do the following (per person):

6 Quick Service
5 Character Dining (not Cinderella)
1 Table Service Lunch
2 Signature Restaurant Dinners

Would you recommend that I purchase the regular or the deluxe dining plan?

That's what I used to help is decide to go with the DxDDP. It's great and very helpful

DxDDP will cost you more than you're spending with those 6 QS meals. Looks like you either need a combo of regular DDP/OOP or just OOP.

Are the 4 people all Disney adults (10+) or are there some Disney kids?

regular and per ts credit the character meals will probably be the best bang for the buck

I agree the reason why we went with the deluxe plan was because we were having a lot of character meals and a few of them with two credits

Neither, unless two of those people are age 3-9.

Based on your restaurant plans, you would use only 16 credits of the allowable 18 on the DxDP. Put aside for a minute the fact that you have 1/3 of your meals planned as QS (which in itself would deter me from suggesting DxDP), the under use of credits alone would be the deciding factor for me. I love the deluxe plan and have used it for the past several trips, but we use every credit (eating 3 meals per day most days) and only do QS for 1 or 2 meals.

So for your plans, I would go regular DDP and pay OOP for 4 credits (you can check menus for pricing to see which would be the cheapest).
