disney dining plan question

hi there-- novice question here, but want to be sure before i can start booking TS restaurants...

booked oct 10-13, but only a 3 day ticket. will my dining plan allot 3 TS and 3QS to use how i like no matter if i am using park ticket or not? we are trying MNSSHP one night, so just want to be sure i can use dining however i choose and i am calculating correct number of credits (it's till based on # of nights, right?).

Yes, your number of credits is based on your number of nights in the resort. Dining plan has nothing to do with tickets.

The dining plan will give you a TS and QS credit for each night of your stay. So your stay being 3-days should give you 3 TS and 3 QS along with 3 Snacks. You can use them how you like, it's not "you have to use only 1TS, 1QS, 1 Snack a day" You can use 3TS in one day if that is something you want to do.

I am not sure how dining works with MNSSHP, but what you have stated is correct for the dining plan. For the standard plan it is 1QS, 1TS, and one snack credit per person per night. You may use these credits in whatever order you like. You may combine TS to use at a signature as well (these use 2TS credits each). You will also get a refillable mug for each person that can be used at the resort.

I would think that you could use your credits at participating locations during the party, but I am not sure what is open and how ADRs work during those times.

Some CS and TS is open during the party. You do need a ticket to dine during party hours, and many will tell you that using party time to dine, especially at a TS, is a waste of hard ticket time.

I'm one. Eating on party night is a waste. Eat a QS breakfast, a TS late lunch and snack later in the evening.

I think it can vary. There's a woman on a MNSSHP thread who really wants to do BOG while doing her Belle cosplay, so I can see there being intrinsic value FOR HER to eat during a party. It all depends on priorities, really.
