How does it work? Are there two separate ones? Quick service and table service? Thinking about doing the free dining in September. Got a pin code for it.

Two separate plans, quick service and table service. Table service gets you one quick service meal, one table service meal and one snack a day. You also get 1 resort mug. Meals include a dessert and drink.

Quick service (I believe) includes 2 quick service meals, 1 snack and 1 mug.

Usually the level of Free Dining is determined by the resort level. Quick Service is usually offered with Value Resorts and Regular with the other resort levels. You might be able to upgrade to the standard Dining Plan at the Value Resort or to the Deluxe Dining Plan (3 table meals + 2 snacks + refillable mug) at the other resorts.

Word to the Wise: most people find that the Deluxe Dining plan is too much food. We had friends who upgraded to it one year and they came back saying all their time was spent eating.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the info. Very helpful. We would be staying at POFQ.

Sorry if this is to much.
There are three dining plans that most people will use. They are:
Quick Service Dining
2 QS meals, and 1 snack per night, and 1 refillable mug per person.

"Regular" Dining
1 TS meal credit, 1 QS meal credit, and 1 snack per night, and 1 refillable mug per person.

Deluxe Dining
3 meal credits, and 2 snacks per night, and 1 refillable mug per person.

Keep in mind that, with the Regular dining, a TS meal includes 1 entree, 1 desert, and 1 beverage per person. A meal with Deluxe Dining includes 1 app, 1 entree, 1 desert, and 1 beverage per person. This can be a lot of food, however if you eat at the signature restaurants everyday (they use 2 credits per meal), it can be quite worth it.

If going during Free Dining, Deluxe isn't usually offered but you can pay the difference between the free plan and the deluxe if you desire.

Ok, so all that being said, we often get the QS plan, and then pay for a few sit down meals OOP (out of pocket). We find that we usually break even with QS, and even if we don't the convenience makes up the difference.

A friend of mine was talking to a cm about the dining plans when we were there 2 weeks ago and he gave advice on the deluxe plan:

1. Use your snack credits to get a danish/muffin and a drink for breakfast.
2. Use 1 credit for lunch
3. Use the other 2 credits for signature dinners.

Wow! Thanks again for all the great input!
