Disney Dining Plan offer & renting pts

Hi all,
Question about dinning plan, Last time I rented points and Disney offered the free dinning I was able to buy my park passes BWV where we were staying and get the free dinning. Can anyone tell me with the offer for free DDP starting Aug 25 if I can still do this?

Free dining has never been available when using DVC points unless the member from whom you rented provided the Dining Plan with your rental. In addition, the purchase of park admission is not required when purchasing the Dining Plan with a reservation made using DVC points.

Regardless, there is no free dining available using DVC points in August. Free dining is only available thru Disney directly when the special promotional package is purchased. Most likely you can still pay less to rent from a DVC member and add (and pay for) the Dining Plan than the same reservation thru Disney directly.

If you book a villa as a package through disney you can get the DDP free if you stay for at least 3 nights and buy park tickets. If you stay on points with either your DVC membership or someone elses (renting) you can not get the DDP for free. I'm guessing in the past you booked BWV as a package, not on points.

No free dining on DVC points reservations at all. Not sure how you got it the first time because it's never been offered on points reservations, unless what you actually had was a package reservation that you paid for. But you can buy the dining plan if you want it, no need to buy any extra tickets to get it on a points reservation.
