Disney Dining plan change?! As of yesterday

Today called CM to verify I could add one night dining plan. Move rewards to pay for it. Call back to add the dining plan and the CM said I'm so sorry someone must have been off work yesterday. We have had some problems so it has been changed back to: the same plan is needed for the entire stay. Didn't ask what if you already had it different, image it is grandfathered in. I'll wait a little while and call back a fourth time today.

What are you trying to do? Add the DDP for only one night of your stay? As far as I know that perk was only available to DVC owners. Are you a DVC owner? All other guests need to have the DDP for the entire lenght of their stay.

I'm not sure what you mean. The same plan has always been required for the length of your stay unless you are doing 2 different reservations or have a segmented DVC stay.

The ability to segment DVC stays has been eliminated.

There is a long thread on the DVC boards about this; it's a better fit for those boards since most on the regular dining boards don't know anything about that special DVC circumstance (which is no longer).

As far as I know, the only way to change plans is to have two different reservations, and you need park tickets on any reservation that has the dining plan.

Yes DVC owner, yes segmented stay. I finally decided to add the table service plan for one part of the stay, to find I couldn't.

This was changed as of yesterday. You can no longer segment a DVC stay like that.
