I watch a Disney-loving couple's vlog weekly on youtube. A few episodes ago they had posted this DDP calculator. I can't believe the work they put into this! I just wanted to share!

Me either.
I used it for our up coming trip.
Says I'd do better w/o the TIW card even though we're going again for Thanksgiving.
The other big surprise was how much drinks instead of water effect the total.
I could not download it to my pc I don't have excel, had to use my son's laptop.
Their videos are for beginners, but this dinning calculate is really for a veteran.

From what I've seen, the only way you're really going to come out on the DDP is if you have children 9 or under, and plan to do a lot of buffets/character meals. There may be other ways (selecting priciest one-credit meals and ordering the most expensive thing on the menu) but, for us, we chose the DDP because it saved us a LOT on buffets.

I can't get it to work. I downloaded it to my phone but my keyboard doesn't come up and it won't download on my computer

There was a long discussion about this program on the TPAS board about 2 weeks ago. I tried it out then and it confirmed my suspicions that the DDP was not a good deal for me. Although, I admit that it wasn't the waste of money that I thought is would be, either. I came out slightly ahead just paying OOP and well ahead of the game if I purchased the TiW card.

Since I've sunk money into PAPs and DVC, I know that we will be back within a year, so the TiW is a no-brainer. I just prefer being able to eat what I want, where I want, and not have to think about remaining credits or getting my money's worth on the DDP.
