Disney Dining Plan and Available Rooms at Boardwalk Villas

I am planning to rent points for Dec. 21-27 2008 for a 2 bedroom standard view villa at the Boardwalk. Are there any rooms available? Is there a site I can go to to find out?

There is no website that shows points availability but I am 99% positive that a standard 2 bedroom is not going to be available for those dates. Standard views go quickly and it's over Christmas. Those rooms are booked 11 months out.

There is zero chance that this room can be booked now on points for you to rent from a DVC member. Your only hope would be if a member booked it months ago and is now ready to rent it out to someone else. If you find someone who already has the room on points and is willing to rent it, you can add the dining plan. It may or may not be available for cash from Disney. If you can get it for cash, be prepared to be shocked at the price.

At this point you are over 8 months out, it might be possible (pool/garden view most likely). You would have to find a Boardwalk owner, non home resort can only book at 7 months.

There is no site where you can "see" DVC member availability, but you can submit a reservation request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board and see if a member can find a reservation for the dates you want.

The dates you're looking for are during the busiest period of the year for all Disney resorts, not just DVC. And December is the absolute peak time for DVC reservations. I can't point you to a particular post, but the December booking situation is discussed often here, it's common knowledge among DVC members. You'll see a lot of posts about it in January, which is when folks are making their reservations for December stays. So many people are reserving villas at 11 months out that it becomes extremely difficult to get through to Member Services.

To complicate matters further, BWV isn't one of the larger DVC resorts. So, it fills up more quickly than, say, OKW or SSR. And forget about standard view villas - there are very few of them, and they're booked by BWV owners right at 11 months, for any time of year.

Sorry, but the dates you're looking for were most likely booked up by the first few days of February. Go ahead, post on the rent/trade board if you want to be sure, but your chances of finding anything are slim to none.

That is still not much of a change. Dec is just a very busy time of the year.

No, DDP doesn't include Gratuity for anyone anymore, DCV or not.

You best bet is to go over to the R/T boards RIGHT NOW and put in your request. Other wise if you wait anylonger you will be out of luck. Put in both your dates you ask, It will give you a better chance.

With Standard view you never get. With the 11 month window from now to March there might be a few nights scattered here or there but not a weeks worth. But people to cancel. So it might happen. Good luck
