Disney Dining/Park Tickets

Hi All!

New to the dining plan side of things. I've always stayed off property and I've never been on the dining plan but I'm thinking of staying on property and going on the dining plan for our next trip.

If I'm staying 7 nights/8 days can I be on the dining plan for the entire stay but only buy park tickets for say....5 days? I'm thinking we would want a day or maybe 2 of enjoying the pool, and going to Downtown Disney and wouldn't need park tickets for the entire time but I would still want to maybe plan some ADR's that include meals at other hotels or eating at Rainforest at DTD, etc.

The dining plan must be purchased for the length of stay (so if you're going to stay for 7 nights, then you will have to purchase 7 days of DDP). However, for tickets you can select any length (from one to ten days).
