So looks like when I phoned up Disney dining they booked my chef Mickey reservation for 8.30 pm rather than am!

There s now no availability? Anyone experienced this? What would you do?

I woukd keep trying, there's always cancellations. IF you're using MDE, try calling. Sometimes there seems to be better luck that way too

Thanks for the reply. So Disney won't try and change the reservation for their error

I'm not too too bothered by my 4 year old loves it and it's for his bday so would be nice

No they won't try to change it, basically they will tell you that there is nothing available in their system either, that they see what you see.
I'd say don't let it bother you to much, you can either keep the PM reservation and live with dinner or stalk the site and keep looking for cancellations for breakfast. You could do both and just have dinner if you can't get the breakfast reservation. A lot of times reservations come up within the 24 hour cancellation window. Sorry this happened, it sucks. Hopefully you can grab the reservation you want.

please keep on trying...look every morning and every evening...they do appear magically some times...Hope that your sons birthday will be fantastic

I would either keep trying or book something else. Sometime the best meals are happy accidents.

1) Phone ressie people do have a Dining Override Code, so
. . . their computer might say no vacancy
. . . the ressie person cannot simply insert you
2) Find a friendly Concierge who has the Override Code.
. . . the code can get you into ALMOST any eatery
. . . at any time you desire, on any day, on any date
. . . the only exceptions are truly capacity-limited eateries (eg. HDDR, Luau, V&A)
. . . frequently this is the reason ADR's are so backed-up, since these are inserted ahead of other ADR's or FP's

NOTE: There is usually 1-2 Concierge at each resort with the code, but we do not advertise who. Overrides are used every day for Level 1 & 2 VIP's (Level 3 VIP's don't get the favor), Disney/ABC Vice-Presidents and above, WDW or ABC Marketing guests, Resort General Manager friends.

Something for next time... try, when you phone, to use Military time... "Zero 800 hours" or "Twenty Hundred Hours" (8 AM and 8PM). That will stop most of the phone CMs, at which point you can clearly state "eight o'clock in the MORNING" or "eight o'clock in the EVENING".

The phone system has been horrible as of late. Even worse than usual. I would try to find the ADR you want on line, and then cancel the evening one.

Just make your changes online without the cm. They can be wishy washy. It's so much easier then mistakes are your fault.

Did they repeat your request to you in am or pm?

Try Dining Buddy . They search reservations for a small fee and text you when it becomes available and then you can hop online and book it. I did it for this past June when I couldn't get into Be Our Guest for dinner and it worked like a charm!

I would call back and ask to speak with a supervisor. I once called to have another guest added to an ADR and the CM not only added the guest but changed the date! I spoke with a supervisor regarding the mistake after I already got the "that date is now booked up" line from a regular CM and the supervisor fixed it. They log all of the calls so they can see when you made the reservation and who originally booked it. If that doesn't work try Disney Dining Buddy or WDW Tools. Good luck!
