Disney dining kid's meals

This is our 1st trip to WDW. I'm thinking of buying the Disney dining plan. My kids DD 9 & 4 aren't real picky eaters. But I noticed when looking up menus on All Ears website the only main kid's meals are hot dog, hamburger, mac n cheese, etc. Just wondering anyone else's experience with this. I'm afraid they'll get tired of that for a whole week. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kids can get anything they want from buffet restaurants- they aren't limited to "kid" food. The all-you-can-eat family style restaurants also serve more varied food.

As for the TS menu restaurants, if you look at the menus on www.allearsnet.com you can find some places that have other kids' options. I know Teppenyaki has more adventurous kids' meals. I think San Angel Inn does, too. CRT for dinner offers a kids' steak dinner.

DD is an adventurous eater, too. We plan on ordering appetizers for her that are appealing to her taste- then, if she doesn't want chicken fingers, she can nosh on her appie, as well as ours. We also plan on doing several buffets and family style restaurants, as well as some more exotic menu restaurants.

We just used the dining plan and have a DD5 and DS4. They could eat anything they wanted at the buffets and sometimes we would get them an adult meal as opposed to a childs. All of the meals are pooled into one account and they don't track whether you use a kids meal or an adults. So you would be fine if there was something else on the menu that they wanted!!

LOTS of menus had bbq ribs, prime rib or other such adult type meals. At Concourse Steakhouse the kids menu had some steak, shrimp cocktail as the appetizer, and other exotic faire. Trying to remember where else they had interesting selections... Yacht Club Galley I believe (had bbq ribs I think), Shutters (prime rib). There are 3 meals that would be different! Oh, I think Sci Fi might have had ribs too.

You could just get an entree from the adult menu and share it between them, they are very accommodating, Me and DD4 shared every meal while we used the MYW dining. Your TS can be used anyway you feel fit.

My 4 yr old son is very picky, and that made it rough at MK. It seems like all the counter service had was burgers and hot dogs. I saw one family making sandwiches out of a small cooler. I would say eat a large breakfast that morning, bring snacks, and go back to the hotel or somewhere else for lunch.

I know that LeCellier also has a steak meal on there kids menu. My daughter had it last year. There may be a couple other places that have something like that on there menu and then if you also try out a few buffet meals in between that will give the kids more options too. I agree with you that so many have the same kids meals. Cheese pizza is also on a few kids menus so that might be another option.
