disney dining how many days?

Can you purchase only 5 days of dining plan even if you will be at a Disney resort for 8 days?

Not unless you do two different reservations or are using DVC points and have the trip segmented.

Other than that, you have to purchase it for each night of your trip.

we are going to rent points off a DVC member and stay at a villa, but we plan on going to universal for 2 days so the plan won't do us any good those days, will we be able to work it or do we have to pay for 8?

You would have to ask the owner if they are willing to go through the steps to segment the reservation so that you can do it that way.

Technically, it can be done, but there have been a few glitches with credits not working, time spent at the desk, getting new KTTW cards, etc. and an owner may not want to risk possible mistakes to their points.

When you search for an owner to rent the reservation from, be sure to ask them if they are willing to book a segmented trip for you in terms of the plan. If they are, then what you want to happen is possible at this point.

I am doing it for my August trip. We are getting the QSDP for night 1 and then the DxDDP for night 3.
