I am looking at the Disney Dining Experience for my family. I wanted to know if anyone knows details or where to look for the best details of the plan or if anyone can help with my questions. I want to know if it is just for 1 trip or is it and annual membership? If it is good for longer than 1 trip how does the time frame start (January-December or does it start when you get the membership for 365 days)?

If you are a FL resident or hold an AP or PAP, you can purchase the DDE for extra cost. It is good for 12 (usually a little more than 12 months) months from purchase.

The Disney Dining Experience is available to Florida residents and AP holders, for a price. I believe the AP holder price is at $65 now, Fl resident may be a bit more. It is good for a year. If you were to buy one today, it would, most likely, expire on March 31, 2009. But, if you bought it on March 19, it would most likely expire on April 30, 2009. It will give you a 20% discount on most table service/character meals onsite at WDW.
But, again..it is only available to AP holders and Florida residents at this time.

Thanks for the information. It is just what I was looking for. We are annual passholders so I think it will work for us. Thanks again.

When you use it, your bill will automatically have an 18% gratuity added no matter the size of your party - so basically the card pays for the tip

You can now purchase it at any park Guest Services window. There are blackout dates, usually holidays. We used it this past Chrismas holidays, and in just two days it paid for itself. Here is a link that explaines about the DDE card http://allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm

Also the cost of the card went down in 2008. It's now $60.

With it you not only get 20% off of TS meals, you get 20% off of adult beverages, and you get 20% off at CS locations in AK and at any food court that is in a resort that has no TS location. You can valet park for free (just remember to tip your valet) when dining ($10 value), you also get a large % off of admission to PI.

True you get charged an auto gratuity of 18%, but that's only a real loss to someone who wasn't going to tip anyway. You'd probably tip close to 18% anyway so your tip is free and you save an extra 2% off of your meal. :goodvibes

Saved over $600 with family of ten in May in 5 days.
