Hello everyone
just inquiring about the disney dining experience. Would you rec it....I don't want to pay almost $1,000.00 for the dining plan for one week of food, but not sure if the dining experience is worth it either. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
Deb

we stayed at All Star Movies and also Port Orleans French Quarter when we had the dining experience card.......a few times we went with our grandkids....two ....and some times we went by ourselves....and this past April we went with two other adults.......we saved plenty on this card...because we ate breakfast at the resorts above mentioned. We saved on that ...and most of the sit down restaurants....Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine.....Le Cellier....twenty percent of any of these restaurants and food courts too at resorts with no sit down restaurants. At night time the card saved alot too on ice cream cones that were doubles or snacks for later......We saved alot I think......well worth it.....It also takes care of drinks at some of the places in Epcot too...we only got one card as my husband and I are usually together when we eat or snack...

We've had the DDE card on 5 trips so far and it really is the way to go for us. The first trip we used it on we saved $265 for 2 adults and a 12 year old. It really works for us because we aren't real big eaters. We love to eat at TS every night and the card saves us a lot!!!:goodvibes

It's well worth it but you do have to be either a Passholder or a FL resident to get it. We save 20% off the entire bill. Now they are adding in an 18% tip. I lawys used to tip 20%, I figured whatever the discount was was my tip. Now I'm just going with the 18% so I'll actually come out a bit ahead. We dine at a lot of signature restaurants so you can really save big there. 20% of a $200 tab is pretty significant.

If you eat TS's everyday then it is worth it. (we do) I get mine with my AP, and work it out to take another trip before they expire ;)

Depends on each person in the end. I would suggest going to www.allearsnet.com Research the menu's and pricing (that site is very updated and accurate) and then add up what you think you will spend. If taking 20% off your pre tax bill adds up to more than the cost of the DDE card then by all means go for it. Another thing that is great with the DDE card is it discounts cocktails. So if you like to have a drink with dinner or at the pool bar, that savings can really add up. And if you think you can work in more than one trip in the year your card is valid, that can really save you some $$$. It takes some reserach to figure out what makes the most financial sense when it comes to dining. Good luck!
