I read on another thread that the DDE card gets you entry to certain special events. I will be buying a DDE card in August and I was wondering if anyone had any info about these events?

I never heard that one. It does get you free valet parking at deluxe resorts if you dine there.

Cut & pasted the following from allears:

DDE benefits include
5. Exclusive invitations to Disney Dining Experience events.

Does anyone know about these? And how are you informed about them?
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I have had my DDE card since Febraury, I did not need to have a AP just Florida Resident ID. I have used it regularly to receive my discount and valet parking,:woohoo: but have not heard anything additional events.

Well worth getting the card, just remember gratuity is added to the bill.

I also signed up for the newsletter right after it was purchased and still have not received anything.

We had the DDE for nearly 2 years, and don't remember ever recieving any special invitations from it. I think we might have gotten extra information on the Food and Wine Festival stuff, but I don't think it was anything the public couldn't have found out.

Not sure if these are still going on as I stopped getting the mailings:( All of them say to contact Rosa Flores at 407.560.5703 so maybe she is still with DDE!

Correct we use to get fold out mailers. I have not seen any for awhile. But can't say when we rec'd any last.
We never did any as it usually revolved around specialty wine/food and was rather expensive. (I thought.) Not being a wine drinker and not wanting to spend hundreds on one meal, we always passed. Although they always sounded interesting.
