Disney Dining Experience question?

I just ordered the DDE card. Does anyone know if you have to mention the card at time of making PS's?? Or before ordering??

Just speaking from server experience, mention the card before you order. It's just a big help to the server if he or she knows of any special discounts beforehand.
I see no need to mention it while making the PS. Have fun! I've heard with about 3 good dinners at Disney, you can get your money back from the card. A 20% discount is phenomanal at Disney!! You enjoy and get your monies worth.

If you go to WDW a few times a year and visit a few WDW restaurants it is WONDERFUL!!

As Tiggerlover91 mentioned no need to mention it when making PS. I've mentioned it on occasion to servers at the beginning but they've always told me to wait til the end of the meal. They still bring out a regular priced bill and then take the discount off after (would be easier to do this first, but I do like to have the original price so I can tip appropriately).

How were you able to get this? I was wondering because from what I had read on Deb's site, it is only available to Florida residents:

I own property in Florida and have Florida Drivers licence etc....

I have owned it for 16 years so I guess I am a 'sometime' resident? I have just never thought to get this before and probably should have!!

I must say that living in FL does have its perks!

This has got to be the best deal that disney offers. A 20% discount is quite substantial. We have had the card ever since we moved to florida 6 years ago. It's a money saver if you want to eat out all of the time your at wdw.{which we do} And you do not have to mention the card at all until you are presented with your bill.

I'm sorry I do not have the phone number with me {I'm not at home} but if you call disneys reservation number 1-407-w-disney, they should be able to connect you to the DDE.
