Disney dining experience for FL residents...

Does anyone know if this lasts a year from the date you first use it...like park tickets, or does the clock start ticking as soon as you recieve it? I'm not going to WDW untill October but would like to get it before the trip. I know it takes 2 weeks to process and recieve it in the mail.

It lasts one year from the time you get it- but every year I have gotten it, there was a little leeway (ie- I got it in the beginning of Oct., and it was good until the end of the month of Oct.). Also- I'd call earlier rather and later to make sure that it is taking 2 weeks to get the cards- My first year, they were advertising 3 -4 weeks to get the card- but it took 6 weeks because of some problem or other with the card manufacturers - I ended up having to have them fax me a temp letter to take on the trip! It was a pain- So- I wouldn't wait until 2 weeks before to at least call and ask the turn-around time! Jill
