Just a side note -- we have never shown our FL ID when using the DDE card, and as mentioned above, we have used it for two years.

We always carry our photo ID just to be on the safe side. We have been asked to show our ID a couple of times in the past few years. I do remember the Kona Cafe asking to see it and the Flyish Fish I think.

They have started enforcing the ID checking just in the last month and a half. Previously we had never been asked, but they told us that they had to have our ID, each time we've used it.

We have had the card since the beginning (back when it was only $50!) and have never been asked for an ID. I am usually at Disney once a month (at least for the past year.... getting my full value from my AP! LOL!) I use our card every trip. I have also never had a problem using both my and my husbands cards for a larger group. In fact, when I pointed out that it would be quicker to clear the table if they would break the check up instead of us trying to figure out who owes what... they even divided the check for us. But this is solely at the discretion of the restaurant's manager. I have always found them to be courteous and extremely accomodating!

It is great that the renewal is only $60, but the price is up to $75 for a new one... OUCH!

Does anyone know what they ask for in regards to getting a 2nd card for the household member?
I saw in another thread that the person doesn't have to have the same last name so I am just wondering....
does anyone know?
I am ordering this card tomorrow.

Not exactly true. One exception is the Teppanyaki Dining Rooms at Epcot. They do NOT honor the DDE discount.

I have used my DDE card several times since I bought it early this year. ($70 w/AP discount)
I have had to show my FL drivers license three times. Last Sunday being the most recent.
