There is a renewal process - you can use the same form as a new card - but check off the renewal option and the cost is a bit less.

There is a discount for a renewal now? We renewed our first one in Dec. of 05 and there was no discount then. We let that one lapse earlier this year and just ordered a new one a couple of weeks ago.

The expiration date is related to purchase date, not use date. I think it gives you an extra month though depending on what time of the month you purchased. For example, I bought mine in mid March and it doesn't expire until the end of April 2007. I'm sure someone knows the exact formula for this, lol. (meaning which date to order to get the most time out of it!)

Does anyone know anymore about this? When in the month do I need to order it to get the most out of it? Thanks!

I can tell you that when I called to get my DDE card, I wanted to be able to get 3 usues out of it. It had to expire at the end of May 2008. I called DDE on April 1, 2007 and explained the expiration date I needed. The very friendly CM told me to call back AFTER April 3--if she processed my order on April 1 it would expire at the end of April 2008. So I called back on April 4, just got my card in the mail, and the expiration date is what I wanted--the end of May 2008.

I just purchased my DDE lastweek. We are going to WDW 6 times this yr so we felt it smart to purchase one of these. The inlaws are going on every trip w/us so we went in together and got a card and we will all pay off 1 bill @ the table. We are saving $12 just on Ohana!! Very exciting!! It will pay off on our 1st trip in May. The CM told me I probably wouldn't receive my card before my trip so I'm going to pick it up @ Epcot. It's going to be a huge savings for our family!!
