I have a thought and was wondering if anyone agrees with me or has their own idea. I believe that Disney being a place for families (kids) shouldn't cut a child at age 9 off the kids menu straight to an adult. I think it would be great if they had a dining plan that was child, junior then adult! Example being children till age 9 $17, juniors till say age 11-12 $35, and then adults $55. I think age 9 child to adult 10 is huge difference. Maybe just for my family, what do you all think? It sounds good to me!!:cheer2:

I only think that this gets discussed a few times a month and the end result is:
Group A-totally agrees with you
Group B- says then people would complain that the new age requirements were not fair (I.e., why is it 12 and why not 13)

Or something like that! LOL

I'm sure you can't please everyone but I thought 11-12 years old would be fair, I would be happy with 18! LOL. Just 9 years old a child and 10 an fault really??

Although we don't do the DDP, I have 2 Disney adults since 2011 so I get it. At least my 11 year old DD eats a lot!

If Disney did this there would need to be another category on their menus that honor the DDP. Right now children must order from the children's menu. Adults order from the rest of the menu. How would you designate menu options for juniors unless you limited that plan to buffet and all you care to eat family style TS restaurants?

Disney is not just a place for kids.

I remember a long time ago the cutoff was 12 but then they changed it to 9 to match up with the tickets.

Agreed, at this point it would cause problems with the DDP, they'd have to have a whole new junior menu at every restaurant except the buffet/family style.
