My family and I are traveling to Disneyworld November 8th-November 15. We have the Disney Dining plan and I have been trying for the last month to get dining reservations with no luck. Everything is booked. I wanted at least 1 character dining. I have a 5 year old daughter and 8 year old boy. Any suggestions on how I can get some dining reservations. If I can't get anything in advance, how easy is it to just walk up and get a table.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Keep on checking - paid in full dates are coming up and people may drop things. Also if you can be flexible, you may find that you can grab something a day before or the day of. Admittedly that can make it tricky with planning your park days but it can work.

Also check the cancellation thread for November, you may be able to coordinate with other DIS members who are dropping reservations.

Good luck and have a great trip!

I just searched on just one of your days for lunch and dinner and saw some decent reservations - what are you looking for that you can't get??? I think it is during free dining which is why it is tougher - but I am going late rin the month and checked every day atleast once a day and finally got everything I wanted around when I wanted it...keep trying and don't give up!

Keep trying. It is a little more work, and you may need to compromise ideal times, but you should be able to gain most of what you want.

I'm not sure that walk ins would work at most of the popular places. But I'm here at Disney now and had trouble with advance reservations. But yesterday morning and this morning I was able to get what I was looking for. Yesterday morning I was able to book Tusker House for today and this morning I was able to book Ohana for tomorrow. I'm not one to wait until the last minute, but I hadn't been able to get them earlier during all of my planning.

Akershus is a good princess meal. Keep checking it. I wish they'd turn it into a Brave and Tangled themed meal.

I dont think it's been mentioned here but usually 45 days prior to trips are when people start to shake up their reservations. You are right about around the 45 days (or less if my math doesnt suck) so hopefully youll be seeing some cancellations coming up! good luck with getting your reservations!!!
