Disney Dining - characters etc?

Sorry if these have been asked before but I was hoping someone could answer the following questions:

Which characters appear at which character breakfasts? I know they change but I'm looking for an idea of who can be found where.

Which is your favourite character breakfast?

What restaurant is a 'must' to do and for which meal of the day?

Minnies at the Plaza in DL (breakfast only/ buffet)- Minnie, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Hook, Fairy Godmother, Chip and Dale- so a pretty good mix

Goofys at DLH (breakfast/lunch/dinner- buffet) Goofy, Max, Donald, Pluto (out front, not roaming), usually one princess we saw Snow White, and Aladdin was there also.

Storytellers at GCH- Breakfast only, buffet or menu- Chip, Dale, Koda and Kenai from brother bear, Meko, and other random woodsy characters

Lilo and Stitch at PPH- breakfast only, buffet or menu- Lilo, Stitch, Minnie, sometimes Pluto or Daisy. Tropical themed food and games.

Ariels at DCA- lunch/ dinner, menu with set courses- Photo op with Ariel before being seated, then 3-4 other princesses/ Fairy Godmother.

Just to make sure I understand correctly.... for Goofy's Kitchen and the Storyteller Cafe you do NOT need to enter the park... so you don't need park tickets to attend one of these...? Right? I just want to make double extra sure because we are planning on doing Goofy's kitchen for dinner the night we get in and again for bfast the day we leave... non-park days. (We arrive on a Monday and leave on a Friday... we have a 3 day park hopper for Tu - Th)...

That is correct, Goofy's, Storytellers and Lilo and Stitch are all held at the hotels, so you will not need to enter either park to attend.

We typically do a lot of counter service, as we dont like to be tied down to dinning arrangements. Riverbelle terrace is good for breakfast or bbq. The meals are large enough to share. The fried chicken at the plaza is very good. We all love pizza port in tomorrowland. Carnation cafe is a wonderful place for breakfast, as is Care Orleans. For out of the park dinning I can't say enough about Mimi's, on harbor near the hojo's.
