Disney Dining Card Question

We are going to WDW in December and I saw the option to add a discounted quick service dining card. Has anyone here purchased these and were you able to use them at most quick service and snack locations or were they very restricted? Does anyone know if Wolfgang Puck Express is included in the places you can use them? Just want to make sure they are worth it before I add them to our package.

TIA!

Are you in Great Britain? That's the only time I have seen this offer added to packages.

From what I understand they are basically a gift card - it is preloaded with an amount you can spend at quick service restaurants.

Wolfgang Puck Express has closed permanently. There is now only a table service restaurant, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.

You may want to look on the UK board to see if anyone else has info

It's tricky to see where you can use the quick service dine card. Disney doesn't give you a list...they link to their restaurant list. You can get it for less nights than the number of nights on your package so maybe that would be a good test?

I haven't stayed at a good neighbor or Disney springs resort with a package so I haven't tried it yet

No people in the US can get the quick service dine card too. It's an add-on when you have a package through Disney for a Disney springs resort or a good neighbor resort.

Basically it looks like a Disney gift card and you get a dollar amount to spend on it at quick service locations. It costs you less than the dollar amount you have to spend. You can have it for the same number of nights you book in the package or for less nights.

interesting. I am DVC so I wont' be booking any packages, but do they tell you what the dollar amount on the card is?

I'm in the US. I talked to a Disney Cast Member and she told me about it. Basically, you can add a $40 QS dining card per person per day of your stay (apparently not on-property, but Swan/Dolphin/good neighbor hotels) for $35 (so just $5 savings per person per day). It's only good for quick service (and I assume kiosks/snacks). Can't use for TS or merchandise. You can add it for any number of days up to the number of days of your stay. I'm just not sure if it's universally accepted at all QS locations and if I add for fewer days than our total stay, does the card cut off after that? For example, if I buy a 5 day card for a 6 day stay, can I only use it for the first 5 days or can I spread it over all 6 days?

After talking to the CM I also filled out a fake reservation on the Disney website and it also gave me the option of adding the dining card. I just don't know enough about it to know for sure it's a good deal. Sounds like it might be a new thing?? This will be our first post-Covid trip to Disney so I'm out of the loop :)

Edit - not on-property stay, just Swan/Dolphin/good neighbor hotels I think

I was offered this when I made my Swan Reserve reservation (which I later cancelled). Seemed like a not great idea since it can't be used at the Swan/Dolphin resorts.

True but you can use it in the parks or at Disney springs
