Disney Dining Card & free parking????

I have had the DDE Card for many years now. This is the first time that I am reading this:
4. Complimentary parking at a theme park for a short period for the sole purpose of dining. You'll have to pay parking at the toll booth, then after dining, present receipt and parking ticket at Guest Relations for a refund.

When did it change to "a short period" ? It had always been just to show your rec't & get refund for parking fee??? I am wondering if this is a change now since it is open to all AP/SP holders, not just FL residents???

Perhaps it means that you cannot park first thing in the morning and then have dinner with DDE and expect to have your parking refunded. I've never paid for parking (always stayed onsite), does your receipt show the time you entered the parking lot?

It does also say that you can use your DDE to get free parking after 5:00pm by showing your card at the toll booth.

I would imagine that your recp't would show the time... I know after 5 you get waved in without paying...but this is a first hearing that it is only for a short period of time. This was not always the case. It had always advertised your parking would be refunded. I want to say this may be a way that they are cutting back on the benefits of the card now that more people will have it.. before it was only FL residents, now anyone with an AP...and that means...many more cars parking for free & Disney will loose the $8 per car

One of the benefits of purchasing an annual pass is free parking at the parks. Disney isn't getting the $8 per car from them already.

That is true..didn't think of that??? So this "change" is only going to effect FL residents.... unless they hold an AP because Seasonal ones don't give free parking.
