We are booked for the free dining at the end of Sept., and I was thinking that I could just have a bite of my DH's meals since that is about all I will be able to eat. I know I can't do this at the buffets etc., but will this be a problem at the other restaurants? I didn't think it would be, but I wanted to check. Does anyone else have any experience with this? What about at Character meals? If I'm not hungry can I sit there, and just drink water? Will I have to pay since I'm still there? It's not really a big deal since I will have the credits, but I just wanted to know. THANKS!

From what I remember reading, you can share meals, even on the DDP. I would think that for the Character Meals and Buffets you would have to use the credits because you are there, but maybe not.

Good luck and Congratulations on the surgery. My sister had it semi recently and she is doing wonderful, we are all so happy for her. :goodvibes

Anyone else have any input?

Thanks I will be about 4 months out by then, hopefully I will have enough energy.

As far as I know, you can share a meal at TS places, but not at buffets.

You are welcome to share meals, even on the DP, except at buffets. At the buffets generally speaking you would be charged regardless of how much you ate or didn't eat.

Good luck with your new life!

I've had GB (19 months ago). I try to stay away from buffets but when I do go to one, I stick with salad bar and maybe meats and veggies. For our June trip, DH and I will share some TS and CS meals and use my leftover TS credits to eat at a 2 TS restaurant and have more options for adding a breakfast or two. I still enjoy food, just can't eat alot of it. If I enjoy my dinner, It wasn't a waste for me, even if half the plate is still left. I chose to have surgery, so I live with that aspect of my life now. For me it's Quality over quantity.

While policy says that you need to pay if you are there, if you ask to speak to a manager and explain your situation, he might just let you do it. If you are polite about it, it probably will not hurt to ask.
