I am going to see Toy Story 3 this evening. It is being shown in Disney Digital 3D, as well as Imax 3D at my local theater.

I'm unsure which format would be best. I tend to get a bit motion sick from immersive movies that have a lot of camera movement - has anyone had that happen to them in the Imax version of TS3?

Any thoughts on which might be a better viewing experience?

The "IMAX" showings at normal theaters are a joke - they are not truly IMAX and the screen is only a couple of feet larger than a normal screen.

Disney Digital 3D is the way to go - no reason to spend the extra money.

That is if you really want to see it in 3D at all - all the reviews I've seen say that the 3D is very, very minimal in the movie itself and not worth the extra money, really. The biggest draw for seeing it in 3D is the short before the movie, which is supposed to be amazing and possibly worth the cost of 3D alone.

(We're going to see it in DD3D on Saturday, mostly because of the short - otherwise I'd just see it in 2D.)

thanks! that's really helpful - maybe we'll just go see it in regular vision :)
