I think that what seperates Disney from everywhere else are a few things. Detail, atmosphere, and ingenuity. What do you think makes Disney special?

I think Disney is special, WDW in particular, because all other parks are monkey dung! Plain and simple. And if anyone does not agree then they are wrong! I'm always right when it comes to the "why is Disney better" question!

I think there is so much attention to detail. Rides are not just rides they are truly attractions onto themselves. I don't know-- DH thinks it's the magic they some how infiltrate in the air.

I also agree that it is a combination of the atmosphere and rides that are not "just" rides. Even the simplest ride at WDW is different from a similar ride anyplace else. I like the Tower of Terror as a example. There are plenty or rides around that will take you up and drop you. The TOT is so unique in the themeing that it cannot be matched by any similar ride.
We have given up going to local amusement parks. They are just places with rides. WDW is a special place with a special feel that happens to have rides.
