Ok, so i've been reading about all the 40% off codes, and doing what others had suggested by registering online, ordering the vacation DVD. I get home and check my mail and lying in my mailbox all by its lonesome...is a postcard shaped envelope from Disney Destinations!! I thought..this is it!! :cool1: I tore it open...and it was a thank you card for being a passholder :sad2: It was one of those sad but kinda funny moments! Oh well...i'm not giving up yet :)

:rotfl2:
That always happens to me with the Emails- it's always an ad, never a code.:confused3

Reminds me of the Willy Wonka movie when Charlie tears open the candy bar (the first one) and there's no golden ticket! :sad2: :rotfl:

LOL every time I get something from Disney I rip it open hoping its a code. LOL Yesterday we got something in the mail but its was a nice little packet they put together for our September trip.

All I got was a "thank you for your recent stay" postcard. Given how we felt about where we stayed, this was like a slap in the face. (No, I'm not mentioning the value place again.)

Please let me get a PIN. Otherwise, it's no Disney for me this year. Bitten by the bad economy and without a PIN, I can't even put my vacation on "layaway". :sad1:

Do any of you have the Disney Visa? I am curious how much of a part it plays. I only ever got one until I got it. I got it in September or so and have gotten two this month.

I have a Disney Visa, still nothing. I'm wondering if me being a florida resident has anything to do with it, since we do get some awesome Florida resident rates. The only bad part to that is they usually don't release those rates until a couple of months before the timeframe, which makes is hard to plan ahead. I don't recall seeing any posters reporting pins who reside in Florida?

Yesterday I got THREE things in the mail from Disney Destinations, but alas no code. I got two of those "thanks for being a passholder" cards and a postcard about DVC. :(

I don't know about currently, but we went last Aug,Sept, Dec, and a few weeks ago for the marathon. We normally go down during value season, to avoid crowds and because the resort rates are better. In Dec the florida resident & passholder rates were as low as $49 a night at a value, I think $99 for moderate. But again, they usually don't release those rates until a month or two before.

I just checked and they have the same rates for feb, march...but not for weekends :-(

I live in Florida (have never had an AP/don't have DisVisa) and I have gotten two codes recently. These were the first ones I have received. Code did not work with my spring dates, so I went with 4/3 deal. 40% code worked for Halloween so we are doing a long weekend for Food and Wine fest.

I am signed up all over the place with Disney... dvd, movie club, contests, photopass (I not i got one via my photopass account from last summer)

Oh wow, didn't know they were in such demand! I got one 2 days ago. I was trying to see if I can use it on line???? I need a moderate room and it keeps coming up $149, I can't see anywhere to put a code, anyone know?

If its a pin code, I'm pretty sure you need to call and book.

where do check for these codes??? How can I get into the pool of codes? I just came back from a week long stay at ASMu fam Suite and I am now hooked on Disney!

Errrr..... I just checked my mail. Envelope from WD Parks & Resorts. It says time sensitive material. I can't wait to open it. What is it??!!?!! And all it is is a brochure for the MYW tickets. WHAT?!?!? That was so mean!! I'm dying for a pin here, and they send me information on tickets (and I have an AP!!)

I am new to the code hunting as well. I created a profile on the disney website years ago, but never knew about the codes. Based on advice from the forums, I made sure that I checked the "I'd like to receive future mailings" box checked in my profile on the Disney website. Also, when I began to plan for my next trip I ordered a planning DVD. For the first time a month or so ago, I received a code for the 40% off in the mail. Unfortunately, I can't use it because the offer applies to dates outside of when I'm going. :( From what I have read, Disney Visa Cardholders also are on the list to receive special offers.

I am still new to this, so if anyone has tips, please share!

i know what you mean, it took 2 years and cancelling a trip before we got codes, we had a trip planned for last fall and had to cancel. Now this winter we have gotten 4 different codes....i guess disney is luring us back...with codes.
