Well, just got a call and it was decided that since it is still drizziling and there are lots of puddles, Tony has to stay in tonight

Also I will just stay home because I am also recovering from a cold and do not want to chance it becoming worse again. In fact, I have taken Zicam for the last three days and I went from sounding really terrible the last two days to today feeling really great and sounding much better. So here I am with a drink getting to ring in the new year

so my parents agreed to take the kids for the day and Steve and I decided to spend our anniversary in the most logical place in the world - our bedroom!!

and this is what we spent our day doing: we had intended to paint the wall a green but I thought the mocha color seemed much richer and I am so happy with that decision!!!

we still have to hang the second curtain (need to put the rods back up) and I need to buy sheers to put behind them

my parents bought us the comforter for Christmas

the wall extends into our bathroom and we got a new shower curtain and towels

poor little Julia came home and told us she thought we were going to frame her artwork and couldn't believe we painted over it

What cruise are you taking?

Thats how i feel --ive been sick for a couple of days, so im kinda just taking it easy becaue i dont want to be sick on vacation!!
but i did pack tonight, even though we dont leave till saturday--but i was bored and tired of just sitting around and its not like i need my shorts and tank tops here!

What cruise are you taking?

Royal Caribbean Jewel of the seas! Were going to Key West, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Grand Caymen..

Im really looking forward to this-there are 9 of us going! My brother, his best friend and I are all sharing a room...For awhile, we werent sure if his friend was going to be able to come with us--he was in Iraq til Nov 17..but now hes home and were going!

We leave on Sunday ,the 8th..and come home on Saturday, the 14th..so 6 nights on the ship!
were going to the hotel near the philly airport on Saturday night because our flight is so early on Sunday morning--with 9 of us, chances are someone would oversleep!

We do the pork and sauerkraut here, even though we are in VA. I grew up in Pittsburgh and am of German heritage (Elin we have too much in common), so I stick to my roots.
