All of my kids developed jaundice. With my first DD it was kind of scary. I didn't really realize that she was yellowing up until I noticed that the whites of her eyes were yellow. She was born in July, so the pediatrician told me to strip her to her diaper, and lay her in the sunlight. Within a day, she was back to normal. DS was born in November, so we couldn't really do that, luckily, his jaundice was not as severe, and he was able to fight it off on his own. With the twins, that was another story. They were preemies, so were in the hospital a bit longer. DT1 was able to fight hers off, but DT2 couldn't. On the day I was to take them home, she was put under the bili lights. There she was, barely 5 pounds and she looked so fragile and tiny under the lights. The doctors sent her home though, and arranged for a portable bili bed to be delivered to our house. She had to spend 2 hours on the bed, and 1 hour off for 24 hours. It was so hard, but it worked, and she was just fine.
I'm sending tons of
