Kritter, I PMed you the recipe :)

Marti, congratulations on 1000! :Pinkbounc

Tinker1bell, you had the best intentions! :goodvibes

Miss Missy, you can have Kiefer, but Rick Schroder is MINE!

Amy :)

Hi Amy! Do you want to try and stay awake and see who gets 20,000???

Oh, and do you mean little Ricky Schroder or grown up NYPD Rick Schroder?

Where's the Queen today? Did she tell anyone she'd be offline all day? Did anyone send her a concerned PM?

Amy :)

Me neither, I started typing one up after I got back but never finished it. The sunburn, sinus infection, and sea sickness, plus the fact that two weeks after my trip I still felt like I was on the Disney Wonder due to the 30 foot waves, did me in, even though I would still do my trip over again in a heart beat.

Yikes, that's what I'm afraid of on a cruise. Is it normally that bad?

IMHO, Evita was very much that way. Great at the movies, not so good at home.

Here's a piece of stupid trivia for you... Patty LuPone was Evita. My dad taught her when she was in High School. I told you it was stupid trivia....

I could read about Disney all the time. I have a question for all of you... have any of you ever used Tour Guide Mike?? Is he the guy that designs tour plans for you to follow based on a time of year? If you used him, would you please give me an opinion of it and what it cost you? Thanks!

Marti,

Ask Steffy, she used him for our trip

I used him. Well, I subscribed. I really didn't find him useful at all. He's hotly debated on these boards, as I think you either love him or hate him. Some people say (as soon as I say I didn't like him) that I "didn't know how to use the site". I did. I spent plenty of time on it and read lots of information.... but not much I couldn't find around here or from experience.

Either way, whether you love or hate him, you should know that he DOESN'T make actual plans for you. He "teaches" what he knows about the trends that "the rest of the people" follow, and gives you SOME samples. It's really just all the stuff he knows, and you can run with it.

Hope that helps!

oh - I paid like $18-$20 or something.

Marti - I subscribed to TGM when we went Christmas week last year. I resubscribed for November of this year and again for August of next year. Since I did it 3 times in 12 months, my last subscription was only $9.99.

Mike doesn't give you a personalized plan, but he has plans to refer you to based on ages, thrill-seeking etc. I can tell you that with his plans, we have never waited more than 10 minutes in any line. We have the best seats for parades, etc., and we know which parks to avoid on which days.

I think it is well worth the $20, I can give you a code for $3.00 off if you want one.

It takes a little time to get used to the process, but well worth it.

I mean ALL Rick Schroder! Occasionally, I even watch episodes of Strong Medicine to catch a glimpse of him (I had never watched this show, so I really have no idea what's going on).

I also have three manilla folders full of pictures of him from the 80's, in addition to a log of Silver Spoon episodes. Kevin thinks I should throw this stuff away! :earseek:

I think you should definitely subscribe once, so that you know what it's all about and whether it's worth it for you. Even though I won't be resubscribing, I didn't feel like I was "out" a great deal of money or time.

That's really cool. I saw it at the movies and Madonna was Evita. I am not a Madonna fan, but thought she did a credible job.

Of course, Antonio Banderas is also in the film, and I may have been stupified by his brilliance as Che. :cool1:

Wow, whoever said we could hit 20,000 soon was right! We're flying. It's been a while since we chatted this quickly :rotfl:

Jennifer, was it for this trip? If you weren't happy just let Mike know and he'll refund your money. He is really good about that.

Jennifer! Are you invisible too?!! You have to stay up for 20,000!!!

Amy :)

Well friends, I almost killed Steffy. I have known her for about 15 years. I have always known that she is highly allergic to a lot of things. Some dogs, cats, smoke, cleaning fluids, flowers, lots of stuff. I have always had a nose that could smell out a kid in poopy diapers a mile away, so you would think I would remember those things no matter what she tells me.
Since DH and I sorta adopted our kids cats when they lived in places where cats were not allowed, she stopped coming to our house. We have had the cats for 11 years now. No problem, I just went to hers and always told her "I am not coming to clean, just to see you".

One year for my birthday she told me that she had taken her medicine and was going to come over to my house to see all of the rooms that we had redone since before the cats came. Pictures just really do not do the trick, you have to see it to believe it. So, she comes in and starts looking around. Finally, after 5 minutes, she leaves. She was sick for a week. (she admitted she had had a cold, but this almost lead to pneumonia. :earseek:

Almost 4 years ago I started having problems with smells. At first I thought I was going crazy. Then I started getting migraines. It seems that for some people, they get migraines from some odors. So, Steffy and I would suffer together when shopping or going out to eat. Sneezing, coughing and just carrying on a lot. (thank goodness for protection) :rotfl: Going thru the smoking section at a restaurant we would hold our breath and practically run. She would wait outside a candle shop because it just really gets to her and if I smelled something, I would just tell her not to go there.

Now since we work together, it is really hard sometimes. When the preschool has to clean several times a day, they have to use some godawful stuff that really smells. If I am aware of it, I can use some protection that I have, a tube of liquid that I can spread under my nose and smell that instead of whatever is in the air. I just have a harder time if someone would come by with some really strong smelling perfume. Patchouli is the absolute worst. I have to go home, take medicine and sleep it off. If we have flowers at the front desk, she cannot be anywhere around.

So, I ordered the Mickey & Me figurine that holds a vase of flowers and sent it to Steffy. I figured she would tell me if the flowers were too strong. She calls to tell me it is beautiful (the vase was missing) and I made sure to ask about the flowers. At that time she is ok. We go to lunch and then she drops me off back at work. Two hours later when I am getting ready to leave, there is a message on my phone that I have to come get the flowers. I called and asked can't you put them in your DD's room? Forgot she is worse with the pollen :earseek: I get there and took the flowers and now she is ok.

Boy, am I such a dork.
I'm allergic to most flowers and perfumes so I totally understand. Poor Steffy :grouphug:

It was this trip. I actually had heard he gets a little um...... defensive when you ask for a refund etc. I decided it wasn't worth it  :rotfl:
