Now do I add it to Nick's?

Deb

Deb,

I like the transfer, I would have not known that it was a transfer,,I would have thought it was something you painted in :)

Double Dutch. Guaranteed!! I started jumping rope in the early evening, and few hours later... poof.... my son was born... Don't recomend this! I'm sure all doctors would frown.

Just telling you what worked for me!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This was back in the day when you had no seat belts for the cars and a metal car seat with no padding. Consumer Reports was in it's infantcy...

OKay,
I'm up past my bed time. I've gotta go to sleep. Promised my doctor.

I'll start tomorrow on page 1100.. No snow yet, but I think it is dropping on tinker1bell.
If I ever have another, I might try that. I ended up induced my last 2 pregnancies which ended in c-sections. We were trying to avoid another cesarean and go for a VBAC my last one. My DH even did his part in the bedroom to try and get things going. :rolleyes1 No luck.

I have got to get to bed. It's 2:15 am and I just ironed a tree onto Nick's shirt. What was I thinking. My dh will wake me in 4 1/2 hours.

Deb

PS no snow here yet. We don't even have a dusting on the ground from previous snowfall. They are saying 3 - 6 inches, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Not sure but I think this is the page she is now on. She said she was trying to catch up.

I thought that's what it was too - if that is the case then it seems like a good idea to me - I'm ALWAYS trying to catch up and then you guys know where I'm posting from... and if I ask something that's already been answered you'll know it's because I'm behind and not just blonde!

Deb - if you get what we got - that is exactly what happened - nothing and then 2 inches in an hour!!!!

Took Dh 2.5 hours to get home in rush hour traffic - he was lucky

I heard some people went about a block in a one hour period!

Night all!!

Too fun!!! You met your DH on a blind date??? I didn't think anything good ever came of those! ;)

I always say I met my DH on a blind date... it was actually a fancy dress party and he was dressed as an undead-morris dancer! So his face was painted white with big black shadows around his eyes. We hit it off but until he turned up on my doorstep a week later to take me out on our first official date I actually had no idea what he looked like! :rotfl:

Oh and for those of you who don't know what a morris dancer is - it's an old fashioned thing - groups of men dressed up with bells on there clothes and sticks and they danced at festivals (very odd!)

Update on Peanut allergy (whew, finally caught up!)

I used to work for the UK Food Standards Agency, and our scientists said the following:

If there is asthma/eczema or allergies in your family you should avoid nut products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You should also avoid giving such products to children until 3.

Other than that they can have smooth peanut butter from 1 year, but not whole peanuts ntil 3 (choking risk).

Does Alyssa like cheese? Christian was always very fussy about meat and fish, but he does like fish fingers (fish sticks?) mac & cheese, Dairylea (cheese spread), turkey ham (highly processed Bernard Matthews products with a dinosaur on it - also available as Barbie!) and tinned hot dogs (YUK!)

If she likes mash potato you could mix a little grated cheese in it, or make fishcakes by mixing potato with cooked fish and browning in the oven or in a skillet.

And with our handy dandy new birthday thread (thanks, Jennfier) I see that your bday is July 10. We will have to celebrate it!

YIPPEE! :goodvibes

I am trying to catch up, only on page 992, but wanted to share my news with my bestes friends here on this thread. After 7 years and 1 miscarriage, I got a positive on my pregnancy test this morning. If you have any advice to share, I could use it. This is my second pregnancy and if it works out my first child. Whew, I will be 37 when he/she will be born.

Tammi -

I haven't been to DC in 9 years!! Way too long!!

I love Potomac Mills b/c I love Ikea - otherwise I could take it or leave it

Also - I am sure that the things that I used to do in DC would be very different from what I would want to do now!! I was fresh out of college and worked on Capitol Hill - we spent a lot of time partying!!

My favorite place in all of DC is a tie between the mall and Arlington national Cemetary - I used to spend hours at the cemetary - it is just so full of history and seemed so peaceful to me!!

I give a pretty mean tour of the Capitol building but since I no longer work there - I don't have access to all the really cool stuff and I am guessing they wouldn't just let me take you all around b/c I used to work there!!!! :rotfl: Although I bet I could get my old boss to lend me an intern with proper credentials!! I sure would have to refresh my memory on the history though!!

I wonder if I could get my other old boss who works in the White House to get a West Wing tour - I doubt he would since he knows I have been on it though!!

My favorite places to hang when I lived there were:
the big pool hall in DuPont - Buffalo Billiards? -
the cinema in Arlington? that had dinner and a movie -
a bar in Arlington that I have no recollection of its name -
shopping at pentagon city -
the Mall - I just loved to take a blanket down and hang out reading and people watching - visiting all the monuments - no matter how many times I went - you could still see something new
red hot & blue

OH - now I can't wait to go!!
Well, Ikea now has it's own building. It is still down there but not at Potomac Mills. It is huge!

A co-worker of mine used to be in the SS and worked at the White House when Bill/Hillary was there. I will see if he has any connections. Oh, the things he saw!!!

Arlington Cinema and Draft House - haven't been there in ages.

DuPont - bad area, maybe not so much in the daytime.

Red, Hot and Blue - my favorite BBQ!

This will be so much fun!

Are you home with the kids today, Tammi?

Rowan U. actually closed!! im excited, but i cant fall back asleep...of course, the pre school i work at didnt close, but its supposed to get worse as the day goes on, so maybe they will close early!! i can wish, cant i :)

No, I am headed to the shower now. I'm going in a little later than usual, hoping that the roads are better. I would take off, since it's liberal leave, but with all of the leave I am taking for Disney and Christmas, I can't afford to. :guilty:

I am hoping to be able to get into the studio later today since all those students have recitals next week :earseek:

Bob just left for work (in Culpeper) and called to say the roads are very slick. Be careful! :goodvibes
