Who drinks gingerale if they're not nauseous? (at least in my experience...)

how do you do it in the microwave.
My MIL used to make penut brittle every year and give it to their friends. especially my DH's god parents and their kids.
My DHwants us to continue this tradition now that his mom has passed away. so we will be attempting it this year.

Here you go. This is the easiest recipe I have ever seen for brittle.

Pecan Brittle

1 1/2 cups of Pecans slightly toasted (put them in the oven for 5 minutes or so)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white syrup (I use Karo)
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon soda

In large GLASS bowl mix pecans, sugar, and syrup.
Microwave on high 5 minutes
Remove and add Vanilla and Butter
Stir until butter is melted
Microwave on high another 5 minutes
Remove and mix in SODA WORKING REAL FAST.
It starts to harden very quickly.
Pour into a buttered pan (11x13 works good) as thin as possible
Cool and break into pieces.

You will love this and it is great for gift giving.

Anyone know where Denise (Triplefigs) is from? I see everyone with winter hats and gloaves -- thinking we should probably pack them -- just in case! DH says -- she's probably from the south or California!

We have a few years on you!!!

Our anniversary is 6/7/69 oldest DS b-day is 6/5/71 DD b-day is 6/11/74 youngest son b-day is 1/19/79 the first two were not planned I swear it just happened.

I know...I didn't really deny anything did I?

I took a positive test on 11/2, but we got to hear the baby's heartbeat today which made it REAL (and easier to share ).

Estimated due date is July 14th.

Now I can whine to you all about how nauseous I've been...and tired!

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of either. I like the Seahawks less though, so I was rooting for the Eagles. Regardless, it's just sad

We muted it and turned on Christmas music instead. I shouldn't be watching anyway
