That is true! Yikes! I guess it is a good thing that my DH is bringing his laptop so we can put all the pics on disc and clear the card every night after being out.

I thought the same thing as well, but in the transfer process I had a corrupt file on the card, which wiped out the 200 pictures on the card and also everything in the folder we were placing them into, a total of about 1200 pictures. Luckily we were able to recover all but about 40 of them, many days later after we were home.

If you plan on uploading them to the laptop every night make a new folder every night, so in case the same thing happens you only lose what is on the card and not all of them from past days already in the folder.

It was a long day and a lot of work, but my kids are so worth it. It is nice to get extended family together. Guests began arriving at around 5 PM and most stayed until around 9 PM. With my family that is a sign that everyone was having a good time. If not they would have ate and ran. I'm tired now, but still winding down.

Everybody shares children's milestone and I have one tonight. My 4 year old is spending the night with her MiMi tonight for the first time. She is my baby and has tried many times but she has always needed her mommy and came home. No midnight trip tonight... she is asleep. Now, if I can just get some sleep and stop crying. It seems like the last step to independence.

So I think my BIL got lost along the way in his own hometown....

Kyle thinks he's still at a friends house, so I think we were stood up! He'll probably show up at 3:00am and want to hang out. Sheesh! It was all I could do to try and hang out at 11:00.

It's way past my bedtime, you know!

I really hate snow. I hate driving in it---ice is even worse I am orginally from St Petersburg, Florida and I still have not adapted to the cold. Even after being away for over 49 years. (various moves to different locations)

We got about a quarter of an inch tonight. thank goodness Steffy and another person from work knows how far I am from work. Kinda like the forgotten, ( the last to be plowed) I am serious, when I say it could take days to get to us if it is really a lot of snow. But to have snow on Thanksgiving and Christmas is a treat.

Unfortunately no. I did ask my Mom ... but she didn't want to intrude and told us we would have more fun without her. I told her we could get an ECV .. but no go.

Oh well ... we will have fun no matter what!
