I know it's not Disney, but...

DS is having his birthday party at a bowling alley where they have black lights and fluorescent colored bowling balls. His theme is Star Wars. I want to make a t-shirt for him, but I can't come up with anything. Any creative people out there who can give me some ideas?

I can't remember where, but I know that I've seen glow in the dark transfer paper. That would be so cool. We aere going to a Thanksgiving bowling party at our alley tomorrow night. They have the black lights and pizza and soda and prizes. My whole family goes. I think there will be 11 of us. Wish I had thought of T-shirts for that earilier. That would have been very cool.

Well I only fell 4 pages behind this morning. Finally caught up. Mac, glad you had a nice trip even if you didn't get as much done as you would have liked. Just means you need to plan another trip. :rotfl:

Try not to post too much tonight as I have to work again. Probably will be back around 10 PM.

DS (4) was just invited to a glow in the dark birthday party. I'd love to make him a glow shirt, but I wonder if the birthday mom would get mad? I'm also thinking about using the glow in the dark paint to make him (the birthday boy) a card and also decorate the wrapping paper or bag for the gift.

Denise - I'm so glad to hear that the surgeries went well. I hope the kids got to enjoy their Thanksgiving freast today! Also, your tree is beautiful! I am dying to have a big full tree again, but alas I'll stick with my skinny one until we get a house and are more settled.

macntosh - Welcome back! I hope DW was feeling better quickly. I'm glad that DD got to meet her own special princess.

All sick kiddos - :wizard: for feeling better quickly!!!!

Happy birthday Colby and KSG (Sorry KSG, you'll have to share the wish with Colby since I didn't make it yesterday.)

As for me, we leave in 4.5 days!!!! DD and I picked designs for our colors the other night (note to self...don't rely on a 2yo to try to pick designs from a group of 20 :) ). The ink is purchased. Now to just find time to go to the laundry mat, finish the Christmas shopping that has to be taken with us, print the transfers, make the shirts, pack, etc, etc, etc.

Marti,

On one of the CNN channels tonight at 8pm and I think 10 or 11 pm they repeat last nights apprentice and also on Tues Nov 22.

Yes, I put them in baggies. Non-breakable on the bottom for a cushion and breakable on top. Pack the top with tissue paper. Seal the box and store it. Works great!
Are they just regular zippy bags or something special? I do mine in a big storage container with the inserts for ornaments (like icecube tray thingies) but you can't really get a whole lot in one container. I might try your idea.

Just had to post this awesome pic of me and the kids at school today for their Thanksgiving Feast. I teach the toddler's class at their school. I just love this picture! I am so blessed!

Just regualar sandwich bags (not ziplock). The trick is to just lay them in the box gently (non breakable on bottom).

It is! It is! We're getting there. Slowly but surely. I think we are the last ones to go. Everyone else's trips are over, except Denise, and hers is just around the corner.

Do you put the non-breakable in the bags too?

Beautiful picture. Just curious...which of the 3 is the oldest?

Yes, I put them ALL in bags (to help keep them clean as well). My mom does it this way, so I just followed suit.

You have a beautiful family!!! We'll be keeping an eye out for you at Epcot.

When you put them in the bags just leave a little air inside it. If there isn't enough air, seal it almost shut then insert a straw and blow some air in. This is what I do with my very special ornaments (some I even wrap in bubble wrap first).

I also have the ornament box like you do. I wrap the ornaments carefully and stack them up inside the "squares".

We have PSB at 1:30pm and LeCellier at 6:50pm. We will be getting there just in time for lunch as we're going to be up late for MVMCP the night before. Planning on going to Crush, Soarin, Test Track, Imagination, Maelstrom. Also going to the tree lighting at 6pm. Hope to see you and your little girl!
