But you are making me miss my high ceilings and wood floors from our TN home.

I bet the kids feel SO much better with all of the pressure released from their ears!

Is that the Coke with splenda? If so, I haven't tried it. Since it like Dt Coke just fine, I figure why pay more $$ for less

. :teeth:
No, it's another version of "diet" coke. It tastes more like real Coke, though. I was seriously addicted to Coke (a cola ;) ) but now I can have the taste without the calories!

Trees are done (we have the big one and a smaller one). It was fun. Here's a few pics.

Looking in the box of ornaments for their favorites.

It's beautiful! It looks really nice against your yellow walls :rolleyes1 .

I love the pictures of the kids hanging the ornaments. I've decided to make photo Christmas cards this year and it's tough to get DS not to act silly in a picture. I might just get one of him hanging an ornament on the tree.

Whew, what a night!

First, Alyssa got car sick on the way to the mall. Luckily I did not have her in her photo outfit, but the poor thing gets so upset when she throws up. :sad1:

Then, we get to the mall and there is no Chick-fil-a!!! Unbelieveable...I've been craving this all day. So, I ended up splitting a kids meal with Alyssa from some generic place called Chick-n-Burger. Totally unsatisfying. :crazy2:

When we get to JCPenney, they are running very behind. A big family in front of us...lots of kids...lots of poses. After running a half hour late, they don't even buy any pictures! Claimed $3.99 a sheet was too expensive. Ridiculous. :sad2:

Anyway, by this point, my nephew (he's 2) has run out of good mood. My SIL and I got the kids' pictures taken together last year, and we thought it would be a neat tradition. He wasn't having it at all. Alyssa did cooperate for a couple poses, but then we had the nerve to change her outfit and that shot her mood too. Oh well, at least we didn't have a ton of poses to choose from, thus spending $$$$$$$$$$.

Kevin's sitting back watching the OC, and I'm off to find something more satisfying to eat. Congrats on post 12345!!!

Amy :)
Poor Alyssa :grouphug:

I know what you mean about Chick Fil A. DS has OT every Thursday and we always go eat there before his appointment. Today he says he doesn't want to eat there anymore :(. Instead he ate broccoli, fruit, rotisserie chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. I know it's much better for him, but I LOVE Chick Fil A.

I LOVE Chick Fil A.

Not to make you and Amy jealous, but DH and I just finished up a year of free combo meals from there. :rolleyes1

ETA: if I'd have known you I'd probably have bought some meals for you... we had plenty to get rid of!

I ended up toasting two eggos for dinner, and I'm still yearning Chick-Fil-a! And no five-year-old should want to eat so healthy! :teeth:

I am also back from my mall experience. Our pictures did NOT turn out. It wasn't crowded....we were the only ones there.....no pressure......We get a beginner picture taker. We went to Picture People since I have heard some really good things about it. When the manager walked up to our sales/picture lady and asked...."have you been thru the picture taking training".....I should have know that was my clue to RUN!!! She was very nice but working with an 8yr old boy and an 11yr old boy you have to have some experience. We ended eating supper after the pictures in the food court to waste an hour just to go back and not purchase any pictures. They were really bad.....no sitting fee so I wasn't out any money. The sales lady felt really bad and offered to reschedule and have their picture taken by someone else. I told her it wasn't her fault not to worry about it. I did get a couple of Christmas presents bought so it wasn't all wasteful.

Wow, that stinks. We've gone to Picture People twice...good experiences both times. I usually spend a small fortune there, which is why we were at JCPenney tonight, with our $3.99/sheet coupon. Trying to be a little frugal. :teeth:

If I didn't like you so much I'd call you an ugly name :teeth:

The closest Chick Fil A to me is about 25 miles away and on a very busy street with lots of construction going on. I REALLY have to go out of my way to eat there and we average probably twice a week

They're building one closer to me (I'll drive past it every day) so I'll be able to pop in for breakfast every once in a while. I love their chicken biscuits.

Were you customers at a grand opening or something like that?

Not only do I love their original sandwich, but I love their lemonade too.

I am so miserable right now...all over a stupid fried chicken sandwich!!! :rotfl:

I guess I'll have to add this to my TRY list. We don't have one around here ... at least I don't think so

Oh that's nothing. A couple of months ago he threw a fall on the floor kicking and screaming tantrum because I didn't have any broccoli in the house to cook :rotfl:

Their lemonade is to die for!!! And their brownies! Yeah, we were one of the "First 100". I think it's a national thing. Whenever a new free-standing Chik-Fil-A opens, they give away a years worth of combos (52 coupons per person, used however and whenever you want within the year) to the first 100 people. My mom, Kyle and I did it... we had a blast! We were there overnight, which is TOTALLY lame. But they had a concert, free massages (from those 10 mintue chair people at the mall), giveaways, free food throughout the night....

It wasn't nearly as dorky as it sounds. And for broke college kids (and the GREATEST chicken sandwich around), it was well worth it! :rotfl:

Ah, yes, the chicken biscuit...also delicious. I'm going to have to stop for one on our way to our playdate tomorrow morning!!!
