Christmas in our house, wellllll
Even after being married 36 years, I have never had DH help with anything about Christmas. He claims his father was so very particular about how the ornaments were placed on the tree that he just got tired of it. So unless I get a fake

tree, I need to get one small enough to fit into the car, be able to bring it in by myself and then make a lot of noise so he will at least help me get it in the stand. Also, with now three cats, I cannot put out some things I would like to put all over the house. So I enjoy going to my children's homes and watch them chase the cats, dog and now grandboys around with all the decorations.
I have always had cats the played with the tree.
Finally gave up on the decorations.
I had a large collection of Disney beanies.
After cleaning up decorations day after day.
DS says Mom why don't we cover the tree with only lights & your beanies.
If they fall down so what, they won't break.
Have done this since.
