I'm sooooo glad I found this board/site... it has given me SOOOO much info so far. I wanted to make matching t-shirts for DH and me for our trip in October...I know DH probably won't wear his :rolleyes1 but at least I can have fun designing them. I've read up to page 30 and still have a LOT of reading to do :earsboy: but I'll get there. I would love if someone could give me some ideas for our trip. We have about 20 days left... I went out over the weekend and bought a rit dye kit (didn't read on here how you shouldn't use rit LOL) and tried my first one last night... as predicted, it didn't come out very bright.. but there's a mickey on it... so it did ok.... waiting for DH to come home and give his opinion on if he'll wear it LOL... Anyway.......... wondering if anyone can help me come up with some ideas for my shirts... I've ordered one off of Zazzle with stitch (my fav) on the back.. and have found some clipart for the front (Stitch over a map of "the world" with "All I want for my birthday is... the world) now I would love it if someone could come up with some other sayings for a few more t-shirts.. I would love some imput.. This will be our 3rd trip down... and my 26th b-day and dh's 27th. Thanks.... Also (this is becoming quite long!!!) does anyone know how to use Photoshop Elements? I downloaded it last night, but just seems very complicated to use!!!
Thanks!!!

So I finally tried my hand at doing my iron on transfers and I was disappointed...They all seemed to be crackly...But I followed all the directions....I prewashed shirts inside out, dried them no fabric softener, put the transfers on right and definitely ironed them long enough and they still just did not turn out right :( I used Fruit of the Loom plain white T's and Avery light shirt transfer paper. Anyone have any idea why they would still come out crackly? I think rather than try it again ourselves we may take them to a shop....my bf found one that said if we print the transfers they could press them for us and they have tshirts there. They can't print on their transfers bc of copyright issues w/ Disney. I think they said it would only be about $7 a shirt, which is cheap bc it includes the shirt. Anyway since either way I decide to go, is there better transfers than the Avery ones that anyone would reccomend or did those work for you? I know this has been asked before but this thread just gets bigger and bigger everyday. :sunny:

Many thanks go out to Zandy595 and Triplefigs :cool1: and MidNite. I cannot get over how hard you all work for others on here. I love what Zandy did with the F&W logo. I may have to see how I could use that one too!
I wish I could take credit for the logo, but I found it doing a google search. :)

I love both of your designs! I think they look great. One thing I noticed is in the one above it should say "For Having Too Much Fun".

Have fun on your trip!

This is a great design. In the big empty space you could put Chernabog.

Hey Everyone :wave2: ,

I haven't checked in on this thread for awhile, but I'm headed for WDW in less than a week and a few weeks ago I was working on a villians themed wanted shirt and I got stuck and never went back to it, but my tonight my friend showed me how to actually use Photoshop elements so I thought I would post the shirt and see what you guys thought. Here are my questions:

1. Does it feel balanced to you? All of the villians seem to have a lot black on them so I had trouble deciding where to place everyone.

2. Are the villians on the right side not to scale enough with those on the left?

3. I had started with a wanted poster theme and got an awesome Western theme font thanks to julia and nicks mom, but I don't know what the shirt should say other than, "wanted" any ideas?

4. Are there any other villians I should add/or remove from the shirt?

Thank-you for all of your help and inspiration :goodvibes

My goodness you guys post a lot! Whenever I find time to log in, I have so much catching up to do! So many great designs popping up! Bugdozer - your shirts came out GREAT!

I'm really loving how those dark transfer sheets come out - I've never tried them.

To whoever was arranging the Ebay transaction - are there any dark sheets left? I would be interested if there are, thanks! Just let me know either way. :flower:

Here's a small one I was working on this morning... thought it was a good size to go on a tank top or something...

Happy B-day to My3princes :cake:

Happy Birthday to Steffy---- :bday:
My "Twin"

Sage advise dear DDA,s.... :cool1:

I will not go from ironing light shirts to ironing dark shirts again. My mind gets twisted...

I was ironing on my Port Orleans transfer. Used a ruler. Placed it just right. :goodvibes Ironed for a good 3 or 4 minutes. Excitedly told tinker1bell, this is beautiful!! Held up the shirt and the transfer slid to the floor. I had perfectly ironed the transfer to the backing. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I really don't know when we have had so much fun. :cloud9:

Another tip. Be sure to trim the dark transfers. tinker1bell did such a good job of trimming, if only I had ironed the transfer onto the shirt..... :rolleyes1

Well, back to shopping for more transfers, and sincewe were out, more shirts!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :cloud9:

Is it so important to pre wash inside out. I just prer washed and dried and I forgot to turn them inside out. :earseek:

You do not need to turn them inside out when you prewash them before ironing on the transfer. It's VERY important to turn them inside out to wash them AFTER you put on the transfer.

Thanks. I was getting worried that I messed it up before I began.

I am sitting here at home bored to death, husband accidentally took my car keys to work with him, so I have been on the computer all morning playing around.

Midnite I used your magic kingdom mickey head for this and hope you dont mind.

HELP!
Has anyone had their pictures print out blurry? I'm printing mine now on regular paper to decide which shirts to use and the two designs I've printed are not sharp looking like the picture shows up. I used the best printing quality, should I be doing something else? There is another choice, maximum dpi and it says a photo cartridge will enhance the picture even more, but I don't know if this is true for a transfer instead of a digital print. I do have a photo cartridge.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and a :bday: to Steffy too.

Yes, I am. Now I teach the prenatal classes for twins and triplets. It's a lot of fun!

Wish I had been to one before my twins were born. Those first few months are still a blur to me. I love my twins, though and can't imagine life without them. We just got back from Disneyland with them and they had an awesome time! They loved everything, and so many CM's showered us with pixie dust, so it made our trip even more enjoyable.
