You are obviously not a scrapbooker. My DH would have cleaned it to the minutest detail and then placed it in DSs scrapbook for future reference. :confused3

She told you that? at three? wow! Can't wait to see what she comes out with at 13 :goodvibes

Who told me on Sunday that I had ruined her life - she did not appreciate my response - and I quote myself verbatim:

"woo hoo - that means I am doing my job and I am a great mom!:

I gotta stop posting during breakfast... I'm asleep while you guys are having all the fun and then I end up with a list of messages all of my own stuck together in a clump - sorry to be a pain I really should do group responses like Baloo!

Well off to work now :goodvibes

Ah man! I always miss all the BIG DDA stuff. First I miss the 5000 post, then the 6 & now the 7..........but what hurts me most is that I missed the poopy penney drama and controversy tonight! Well, I guess I was here for the drama part- but I totally missed out on the controversy part. Bummer ! Our own personal "debate" issue right here on this thread! To think- we could've hit 8000 real fast! And then- I am like you Rosiejo- I live on the west coast and by the time I get going late at night, everyone else is asleep! Were's that pepsi when ya need it????

Triplefigs, you are too funny! :rotfl2: I love this thread. ;) poop patrol...definitely worthy of a tag. :rotfl: So glad your DS is okay! :flower:

Well, ladies... I live on the east coast and I usually miss the Diet Coke / Diet Pepsi induced insomniac discussions too. I am a morning person and hardly ever can I stay up until 1:30 a.m. I am worthless the next day.

So I sit here early every morning and get caught up! :thewave:

Does anyone have a pretty, LARGE clip art of cinderella??

With the movie coming out I wanted to make a shirt for DD but nothing I find is large enough and I have zero photoshop type pf programs to make anything bigger. I can only import into Word and add text that way. So I am stuck with the size I find.

Thank you!!!!!!

OK - here goes, my first postings of pictures, I hope this works

T-shirt #1 Pink Tie-Dye (size for my DS11 - colors for DN) guess it will be too big for the 22 year old, but she should be thrilled to get an extra shirt. I don't like the U shape on the bottom - need to figure out what I did to make this
pinktie-dye.jpg

T-shirt #2 Turquoise Tie Dye - (colors for my DS11, but size of my DN22) - I did this at the same time as above and made the same mistake
turquoisetie-dye2.jpg

T-shirt #3 with pattern from n&j's mom - looks cute, but in between the letters, the transfer has yellowed - did I iron too long?

Well, thanks for all of your support along the way.

Can't believe it was really that easy to post a picture

It worked, it worked :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I found that some of my white transfers had the yellow tinge. I think it varies by brand. I don't think iron time effected the ones I did. I ended up using the dark transfer paper for all to avoid the yellowing.

Morning everyone! Triplefigs - so glad DS is okay!!! My DS loves pennies for his "pig bink" - I'm so afraid one is going to suffer the same fate as your DS's! :scared1:

You all have been busy!!! I'm trying to catch up with all the news. I've also been working on shirts - 10 done, and 4 more ready to go today! I need to get DH to take some pics. ;)

I did learn a few things along the way - in case anyone wants to avoid my mistakes...

1. Use a lint roller/brush on the shirts before ironing. I have two shirts (white) that look great except for a little piece of blue or red fuzz under a light part of the design.

2. If the paper is turning brown/yellow - you might be burning it! woops! One of DS's shirt (for his Pah-Pah's birthday) is a little yellowed, but I figure he's always in perpetual motion, so noone will be able to tell.

3. If the paper is creasing, keep ironing through that area with pressure - you can sometimes iron out the creases so they aren't noticable.

4. If you turn your woodblock around to accomodate a landscape design - make sure you re-center the shirt!!! I did the black castle "50 years of magic", but it is a bit off-center. I guess it's okay since I'm a bit off-center at times, too. :teeth:

Anyway, thank you all again for the great designs and inspiration! I will try to get pics up asap. Off to get DS to preschool and go to work!

:flower: Have a great day!!!

My dh calls me a nightowl, but I must have turned in too early last night (11:30PM) because I was 5 pages behind this morning. I'm been here since day 1 and never get in on those milestone posts. :confused3 . Perhaps I am just not addicted enough. I do get obsessive though, I've got 10 days before we leave and I'm 95% packed! :teeth: :teeth: My DDA shirts are all in the bags and just one more pillowcase to make. Hoping Julia and Nick's Mom will have time to make me a Colby design with all the characters, but she leaves a week before me so I may have to make do with something else.

I'm with you Elin. We miss all the fun and good conversation that goes on in the wee hours of the morning.

Love the tye-dyes and I'm glad your saga is over, Triplefigs. What shall be next I wonder?

Whatever, First i ignored all the "poop" stuff because it was just stupid. Now its beyond that.

I'm NOT a woman, I WAS here to look at all the designs.

And i will not got through 20+ pages of people talking about "poop" all the freakin time.

Enjoy your thread i'm leaving.

Was fun while it lasted.

(I'm glad your son is ok, but it could have been done in three posts.
1. this is what son did. 2. this is what we are hoping for. 3. Its over hes ok.)

would have been nice if you had made a "poop" thread of something instead of ruining this one for me.. but i'm sure you all think i'm just wierd and don't care.

Obviously, not a mother. Poop is just one of the many disgusting things we all have to endure. Unfortunately this could have become a very serious issue for Triplefigs and her family. She came to this thread for support from her fellow DDA's. We made "light" of a serious situation to keep her spirits up. If you take life so seriously that you cannot joke about a normal bodily function that we all do, without getting offended or "grossed out", then I feel sorry for you.

You know, it's a shame, this was one of the few threads on this board where there haven't been any flames. We were lucky to get this far before they started. Let's hope there are no more.

Sorry you got offended. Bye.

Sorry you feel that way. You sound like my husband. He just don't get it when we mothers talk kid talk. I guess you just have to be a woman or a mother to understand these things. This is a wonderful thread and although I don't chime in very often I love to read and feel apart of what is going on.

Triplefigs so glad your son passed the penny. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Shriva,

I am sorry I offended you with this conversation. That was not my intent to offend anyone. I did indeed start another thread on this subject on the family board. This thread and DDA members feels like "family" to me, and that is why I posted about my son here.

I don't think you're weird for thinking this conversation was a little off topic or gross. I'm a nurse, and I suppose that I don't always think how bodily functions may come across to others.

So, I hope you will stick around. This is a great thread, and the designs and designers are wonderful.

Denise

PS-I also sent this exact message via PM to you.
