Disney Decorating.

Ok. After returning a few things after christmas I picked up the Disney Mickey Tv/DVD. Then for my birthday, my family gave me the Mickey telephone. Now is the time to start to clean out our spare room and make it my very own Disney/scrapbooking/relaxing room. I also made a Mickey light up wreath that will go in. This is also the time of year where all the stores advertise storage. Any Disney ideas, storage too.?

I thought I saw some storage bins with Mickey cutouts in the outlet section of disneydirect.com. They were off white but you could always paint them. I plan on putting up a shelf with our collection of Mickey ears hats in our Disney themed office.

We are in the process of finishing our basement...which will be all Disney themed. The bathroom down there will be all Nemo (the kids insisited on it).

For our new family room down there:
*We ordered a Mickey door from Home Depot (a Nemo door for the bathroom)
*the Disney storage tote bins from Disneyshopping.com that an above poster mentioned
* 2 of the Mickey whiteboards with hooks last fall from Disneyshopping.com
* the matching mirror (goes with the whiteboards)
* we've also got some beautiful framed Disney prints to hang up (DH owns a frame shop)
* I may also order the coatrack that's online

* I just saw the new Mickey coffee table on Disneyshopping.com...I may get that...I have to think how it will match the decor

What a fun basement! You've got to show us the pics as you get it done, it sounds awesome! I want to do my main bathroom in Disney, but I can't find anything that I like. I don't really like the vintage mickey look, and that's all I can find. Do you guys have any great sites I can look at to find wallpaper border, shower curtain, soap dish/dispense etc? I've checked out disneyshopping.com and didn't find anything. Thanks for your help and suggestions!

We have a Mickey bathroom upstairs (I would have never done the upstairs bathroom in Mickey if I'd known we'd be doing the basement now in Disney, but oh well).

This bathroom is from the "Scattered Mickey" collection. I ordered all of it from Disneyshopping.com (except the bathmat, which I got in Downtown Disney).

The Scattered Mickey collection isn't online right now, but now & then again they seen to have it online. I see some of the pieces on ebay sometimes, but they tend to be expensive. I think I got most of my Scattered Mickey on sale. I agree, I'm not crazy about the vintage Mickey set either.

Maybe wait awhile & see what the next Disney catalog has to offer.

I am doing a Ciderella theme Scrapbook room. it will be all Cinderlla Blue, Black and white. I am havning trouble with it as well. I am havnig a Cinderella theme wedding and think I am going to use things from that to help decorate. I will be having Kichen cabinets put in all around the room for storage that will be painted light blue. The knobs will be black with a white castle painted on them. The counteres will be like a giant scrapbook page. I am scrapbooking on them and then putting "Pour On" on them. It makes like an acylic top to it. You see it a lot on bars and resturant. I hope that was understandable. I fit does not come across clearly then let me know and I will try and find a picture of someone elses so you get what I mean.

A lot of actual things from the disney parks are being sold on ebay. It might be fun to have real signs and props from the parks in your room.
