Has anyone been to Disney World Dec 2-6? How are the crowds?

this is the best week in my opinion. The crowds are low. I have heard though that the Cubs will be there will special events going on so I don't know if that will add traffic or not. I know there is also a special DIS meet there that week.
You'll love the decorations and the Christmas feel!! I've gone this week 3 years in a row and love it. I'm hoping to go this year, but work may have to come first this year.

Has anyone been to Disney World Dec 2-6? How are the crowds?

Hi, We are going the first week in Dec. also and up until about noon today I was so happy with the crowd level that I had heard about. But today I have heard about lots of sports stuff going on with children that week, and they are taping the Very Merry Christmas Parade for ABC that Saturday * so I have heard* So that I assume will up the crowd level. I am sure we will both be hoping that crowds are low and we can enjoy our value season! lol Lets cross our fingers together!!

We are there the following week( 12/7-12/12), like you we are there to enjoy the value season and low #'s. Let's not only cross our fingers, but how about our toe's as well !!!!! Hope all have a fun and safe trip!!!

I heard that when we are there it was Pop Warner Cheering Comp , but nothing about the Cubs ?

Has anyone been to Disney World Dec 2-6? How are the crowds?

I have been that time for the past few years and will be there Dec. 2-8 - well 2-4 @ US/IOA and 4-8 @ WDW. This year I'm bringing my best friend and her family for their first trip to WDW.

Anyway, as I posted on the Resort board, I believe this year will be more crowded than the past years. DVC is sold out for that time period, Pop Warner comes in Dec. 4-10 and Mousefest is Dec. 1-3. All in all it should be less crowded than regular or peak seasons, BUT the secret is out that this is a GREAT time of year to visit!!! Christmas parties, decorations, etc. at value season rates have increased the crowd levels.

I'm not going to let it worry me, just making a few more "plans" than usual...
