Disney debit card is back...

Has anyone seen any offers lately for free $ when you sign up for a Chase checking account? I thought about signing up and getting a direct deposit for a vacation fund but I wasn't sure if there were any fees involved.

That I don't know. I've never had checks with my Chase account and DS didn't want any either.

Does anyone else know?

You can pay with your credit card or debit card in the ship shops. We have done this on the dream and the wonder.

I don't know if this changed, but we weren't allowed to use anything but our shipboard account for the ship shops on the Wonder. We sailed last March

I ordered mine in person yesterday. The bank left my current card active and told me that when the new one arrives, they will switch me over. The banker that helped me said they had been a very popular choice this week.

This is great timing for my trip in November

I went into the bank a few days ago and asked if I could keep the debit card I have now and still get the Disney one too and was told that I could keep both.I want to keep the one I have now because it has rewards points on it and also I don't want to change every account I use it on.He told me both could be used without any problem.I guess we will see if he was correct or not.I wanted the Disney one for our trips to WDW (as long as there wasn't any kind of fees to have it ).Has anyone kept the one they had and also used the new Disney one?

When I went in yesterday I was told that activating one replaced the other.

Seriously?!?! 3? Must be cutting back on their paper costs.

I am considering opening another checking account just to get the Disney debit card. Can you say addicted to Disney?

Get this card if you don't have it! I just got back yesterday and was able to save some $$ at the gift shops at the resort and parks If you purchase $50 you get 10% off. I didn't cancel my old card since I use it to pay online bills so I have both cards, one account (not sure if this was answered as I didn't read the whole thread).

I got my Castle themed card last week..love it!!!! Definitely use it for the 10% discount and free character picture @ Epcot. I've had "some" form of a Disney card since they were introduced...SO glad they renewed the debit card..just wish they still offered rewards

I had left my pamphlet at home so just happen to ask about the shopping discount since I remember seeing that!

I love mine. That 10% came in handy while back 2 school shopping at the Disney store. (I have the mickey and friends design.)

Everyday @ Epcot Innoventions (west I think) between 1-3 (or 4..not sure) there is a special area specific for Disney Cardholders to get a free picture with characters (generally there are 2). There is an area covered by a huge red curtain that they take you to to get a great background with the characters. Great perk!
