Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

You are seriously an updating machine! I am behind AGAIN!

Anyway - so glad we will be at the world at the same time. Looking forward to a DIS meet!

I'm so glad you guys really took full advantage of the pluses on your ticket. Between the water park and DQ you are doing a great job checking it all out.

I love the POC ride at DQ. I had such a blast doing that. It's way better than JC (IMHO) so I don't think you are missing much.

I'm like you - sort of uncoordinated, so a lot of those virtual games are hard for me, but I love watching other people play and I always find something I can handle.

Too funny about that game that eats your money until you totally give up. Makes me wonder how much $ that machine rakes in.

Looking forward to reading about your dinner plans!

You think we’ll see Tinkerbell’s beard?

We continued on towards the Tomorrowland Noodle Station and we could see that a long line had already formed. Crapadelic! I thought that we couldn’t check in earlier than “whatever time it was that I thought it was”. We went around to the end of the line and waited in the unmoving line. While standing, I heard someone call my name and it was another Diser! Annnnnnnd, this is where I have to apologize again. I have totally forgotten her name. (Major palm to the head on my part.) She introduced us to her family. They were on their way out of the park but when she saw us, she wanted to stop and say hey. I wish that I could remember who it was. Please please forgive me and remind me who you are if you are reading. :wave2: I hope that you are!

It was me! It was me! I've been away from the boards a while now. Part guilty because I haven't started my own trip report and part post-Disney vacation depression. It was great seeing you and your family, Lisa. And I'm back and following along...

Sat down early this afternoon, looking for something to read. Found this trip report, and read the WHOLE thing. Such fun! Loving all the pictures, and literally :rotfl2: at some of your stories! Looking forward to the rest of your tales...:surfweb:

I got caught up the other day and thought I responded but I guess I didn't.
or maybe I did. :rotfl2:
Anyways how was it in DQ? I have heard from others it's really outdated and needs some tender loving care. I haven't had a strong desire to ever go in there. Maybe some day we'll venture in there.

Well I got behind again and now I'm caught up. Love the waterpark update, we haven't done a waterpark but it's in our future. And we keep wanting to do mini golf but we never seem to get around to it. We had a lot of good luck with the busses too. We only had to wait one night after Wishes but it was our choice we didn't want to cram on a bus that was already.

Hopefully I'll stay caught up this time.

Once we got back to the resort, we all laid around a while and rested. I don’t know what it is about swimming or playing in the water that always makes me tired and hungry?

That happens to me too. At least the hungry part. :confused3

We chatted with a castmember as we were waiting our turn and they said that the slow moving line (we didn’t really notice but he said that it was) was due to a new CM in training. Like I said, we couldn’t really tell and I wondered if he were saying that in front of the new CM just to make her hustle more. ???

I wouldn't want to be that CM!

It was apparent that if this were real life I would not only suck at sports but I also suck at saving poor innocent animals running free. I think that I’ll stick with my job as a paralegal. ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Admit it! You are now signing “Welcome to the Jungle!” aren’t you? You’re not? It’s just me? Ooops!

Well, if I wasn't before, I am now!

John said that he was going to give it a try and just knew that he would be able to do it after watching the other guys try for so long. Yeah, how’d that work out? It didn’t! About $20 later, he gave up. :faint:

The house always wins!

You could just tell it. He was one of those nerdy types who probably has never been in charge of anything in his entire twenty+ years on Earth. So, when he was able to tell people what to do on this ride, he was loving it. I’m not making fun of him. It’s just the way it was.

:sad2:

Loved your pictures of Blizzard Beach and Winterwunderland. Both look like fun. I've never been to Disney Quest either. The Mini golf looked like fun-might need to try that in January but think I'll pass on water parks and Disney quest this trip.

Waiting to hear more.

This was our first time playing mini-golf at Disney and we had so much fun tht we're fitting it into next trip's schedule.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: It sounds like you and I would do well together in sports! And by "well" I mean sitting safely on the side lines far from the action cheering others on. :rolleyes2:rotfl: I totally get the excitement of the hole in one! Very impressive!

Yeah, we need to just sit on the sidelines and cheer! :rotfl:

I have never been to Disney Quest but it looks like it was fun!

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: At John trying to win the game, my husband is the same way, now I know to keep him away ::yes::

If you like games at all or have kiddos who do, it's worth a trip over if you have the water parks and more passes. If I had to pay full price for admission, then I wouldn't go.

So glad to see that ya'll played mini golf! We LOVE that course and the Fantasia course as well but the one you guys played is our favorite!

Oh that pirate game is a hoot! We hoop and holler the whole time while battling the ships.

I hope that we'll get over to the Fantasia course one day.

I'm glad to hear that we're not the only ones who hoop and holler!

I've never done either of the mini golf parks at WDW, but George and I do plan to in December. Good job to each of you for getting a hole in one!

We also plan to do DisneyQuest in December, which is something else I've never done. The pictures are cool. And funny that John had to spend that $20 to try to win the prize, even after watching the other guys fail. Men! :lmao:

Ooh, which golf course will you be going to? I would love to read a review of the Fantasia course.

It was really unusual for John to, basically, throw away money like that. He musta really thought that he'd win. :rotfl:

Another one who was an updating fool!!! I LOVE your mini golf adventure! your all so dang cute! YAY on the hole in one!!! :cheer2: I downright suck at mini golf and it makes me mad. :rotfl2: Stupid ball... Round ball square peg kinda thing... But it is SO dang cute!!! Love all the Christmas themes and decorations!

You all are such a fun family! I LOVE reading along!

Never been to Disney quest! It does look like Family fun! Sorry you got lost! but i laughed.. sorry... :rotfl: Only because it's something i would do. :rotfl2:

again you guys are so adorable together and lots of FUN!!!

As I said, I'm not sports oriented whatsoever but mini-golf is a little easier for me. Notice I said "a little". ;)

Oh if there's anybody who could get lost, it'd be me.

That is a really cute mini-golf course. We have never putt-putted at Disney.

Congrats!

Why did Lisa have to change her socks?

Because she got a hole in one.

Oh, Yeah!

:woohoo:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Disney Quest. UGH!!!

Sounds like you didn't have a terrible time, and that is probably the best thing that can be said.

Not my favorite place, can you tell? But the boys like it. :headache:

Yeah, I didn't have a terrible time and that's all that mattered. The guys did go back later in the trip without me and I wasn't devastated. :rotfl:

Actually, the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is pretty cool.

We were some of the ones floundering on the Jungle Cruise ride when we tried it. Couldn't row row row our boat.

Several years ago, we were a floundering family too. Try as we might, we just couldn't guide our boat the right way.

The Buzz Astroblaster thing- very whiplash if I remember correctly.

And LOUD!

The main thing I didn't like about our trips to DQ was that people were very rude. They would be at a game and since there was no time limit, they would stay on, even if others were in line waiting to play. Then, a couple of times when my boys were waiting for a game, and the person playing it finally stopped, other people tried to swoop in and cut them in line.

:sad2:

I get so irritated at people who do that. Just play for a while and then let somebody else play.

Fun update! We did the Winter Summerland Mini golf 3 of the last 4 trips. We did Winter in 2004 and then again in 2011, then Finally did Summer this past trip in October on our last day since we had a late flight, I got a hole in one too, but I don't remember which hole it was.

We are going back again and I hope that the Winter side won't be so busy that we can't give it a try.

Back to the previous update, I love Blizzard Beach!! We were there in 2011 and did the golf first so we got good and hot, then cooled off in the park. I love the lazy river but I don't love to sit on the tube because I feel like I can't control where I go, I go in and put my arms through and float that way, although I would like it to be deeper for that. I did about half and half the last go round.

That's a good idea! Maybe we need to switch it up next trip.

I love the family raft ride and the tube slides too. I am not a fan of going face first so I don't like the toboggan racers, Tim and my (now ex) BIL went on them but I didn't, I tried to meet up with them after but never could figure out where they would come out so I just went on the lazy river again.

I didn't mind the going face first part. It was just getting myself to even go face down. :rotfl:

we have been to Disney Quest twice. I hate that it takes forever to figure out what you're supposed to do. but MY favorite section? the floor with all the video games from the 70's!!!! unlimited Quebert! donkey kong! Mr doo!asteroids! Centipede! dig dug! pac man!!! etc etc!!!
those were the years when video games were arcaed type games! never mind realistic looking people blasting each other away or kick boxing each other! I want to play Crazy climber!! or Kangaroo! Tetris!
I could have stayed there for hours. I remember our Coleco vision game.. I was the Ladybug QUEEN!!! lol
once we bought the "no expiration" option on 10 day passes with water parks and more. we used 5 days of tickets on one trip and 5 on the next. (on e trip we also rented points at Vero beach and were just at WDW for a short time.. don't remember about the 2nd trip)
anyhow, each of us had/have 10 water parks and more options!!! which never expire!! I think I have 7 left and nebo has 8 (I went to typhoon laggon with our son's family and nebo stayed at the resort cause he had a possilbe concussion after fainting and falling at MK the night before.. sigh)

or maybe it's 6 and 7.. not really sure.. but we thought we wouldn't waste them on Disney Quest. but now I'm thinking we will use it for that sometime.. the last 4 trips we haven't felt like doing water parks. I love it.. he just doens't like to do all the stairs for the slides. we do love those lazy rivers, though!!!

Those are the games that John could play over and over and over again. He loves those classic 70s games.

Oooh, you have a lot of options left on your tickets. I sy do water parks and Disney Quest!

You are seriously an updating machine! I am behind AGAIN!

Anyway - so glad we will be at the world at the same time. Looking forward to a DIS meet!

Me too! I was just telling John that our paths would finally cross.

I'm so glad you guys really took full advantage of the pluses on your ticket. Between the water park and DQ you are doing a great job checking it all out.

I'm not good at the hand eye coordination thing, I guess. We did have a lot of fun on the POC ride and I'm looking forward to doing it again.

If I had to guess, between John and the guys in front of us, the machine probably took at least $80 in the span of about 30 minutes.

It was me! It was me! I've been away from the boards a while now. Part guilty because I haven't started my own trip report and part post-Disney vacation depression. It was great seeing you and your family, Lisa. And I'm back and following along...

Hey Michelle! I'm so glad that you are back on the boards and could refresh my memory! I love love love meeting fellow Disers!

Jen, you sound like me. I'll read and then forget to post or think that I did until I go back to read more. It's okay though.

We liked Disney Quest. Well, the guys liked it a lot and I liked it. I'll go back on our next trip since we'll have the same type of passes.

Sat down early this afternoon, looking for something to read. Found this trip report, and read the WHOLE thing. Such fun! Loving all the pictures, and literally :rotfl2: at some of your stories! Looking forward to the rest of your tales...:surfweb:

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! I'm so glad that you are enjoying the report. We have some pretty crazy tales/stories don't we. :rotfl: I hope that you'll stick around 'cause I have a whole lot more to share.

We had done the water parks before (well, Typhoon Lagoon a few times) but never mini-golf. It just never happened before even though we said we wanted to play. I'm glad that it finally worked it's way into the plans.

That happens to me too. At least the hungry part. :confused3

:thumbsup2

I wouldn't want to be that CM!

Me either. I think that they were just trying to "initiate" the new castmember by rassing them.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, if I wasn't before, I am now!

Could have been a worse song like It's A Small World or something. ;)

The house always wins!

:sad2:

It was odd that John even played the game long enough to lose the $20. We've been known to walk right through a casino and never put a dime in.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely vacation with all of us. I have to say that you are by far the best DTR writer that I have read. I really enjoyed reading the entire report. I have been thinking about posting a report from the trip that we took, and the funny thing is that we were there from May 9th to the 23rd, so our trips were really close together. We missed the Mine Train by only a few days and that bummed us out. We had been keeping up with the updates and just knew that it was gonna open before we left for our trip. How do you feel riding ToT with your height problem? I love how goofy your family is. My family and I like to crack up and act like fools every chance that we get. We will be visiting WDW for Christmas 2015 and that will be our first trip for the holidays.

When you head over to the Fantasia course, be sure to choose the Gardens as the other one is "boring" and just resembles a real golf course without all the fun extras.

Fantasia Gardens is lots of fun!

Welcome! I'm so glad that you are enjoying the report and thanks so much for the compliment. I like to write and I love Disney so the two combined are my dream job.

Wow, our trips really were close together. You were leaving as we were arriving.

It took me years and years to get up the courage to ride Tower of Terror. I'm talking probably at least two dozen trips before I did it. I do have to say that the part where they open the front of the building and you can see down scares the bejezzers outta me.

If you do decide to write a report, please let me know. I'd love to read along.

When you head over to the Fantasia course, be sure to choose the Gardens as the other one is "boring" and just resembles a real golf course without all the fun extras.

Thanks for the tip!

After being an updating machine last week, I've found myself slacking in the updating department so far this week. I have enough pictures on Photobucket for the next update but not enough for the next. And, I have to look at those next set of pictures in order to come up with my chapter titles. Give me a bit of time to upload some more pictures and I'll come back with an installment.

Whatever, slacker. I can't waste my time with this anymore.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Like I'd ever stop reading your reports!

Giving you time to think?! No way - totally out of line!!! :lmao:

Kidding of course! I get so excited whenever I see an e-mail that this thread has a new post. I love following your adventures!!

Well at least I was able to catch up on those 5 or 6 updates I hadn't read yet. Thank you for the chapter links too!

Such fun you guys had at the water park! I really want to do the mini golf on one of our next trips. Not sure we'd do the water park, I'm not big into it, but maybe the rest of the fam would.

OK now get back to work!
