Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Thanks for showing those stairs. I am not afraid of heights, but those stairs are awfully narrow.

Reminds me of the ones at my kids' elementary school. The PTA storage area was at the top of very narrow open metal stairs. I spent 8 years carrying things up and down those stairs for events. And complained every time. One day the custodian asked me if I heard they were putting in an elevator.

I literally jumped for joy.

Then he told me he was kidding.

:sad2:

I do not like open stairs at all so I don't know how you did it for 8 years! I'd have been a mess!

Fun updates!

Your story about the obnoxious family also brought back a memory. When Mark and I were returning from our anniversary trip to Puerto Rico, we boarded the plane and a woman was sitting in my window seat. I said "Excuse me, I think you are in my seat" She said "I no speak English" I then pantomimed "That seat. Mine" She just shook her head. A short time later she got up to go to the bathroom. I took her carryon, moved it to the aisle seat and grabbed my window seat. Mark was mad cuz he had to sit next to her for the rest of the flight. Later, she ordered a Sprite, in perfect English.

Those kinds of stories make me so mad! You know good and dang well that she understood what you were staying to her. She just wanted to stay in your seat.

How lazy do you have to be to litter in Disney? You can barely walk 3 steps without finding a garbage can! (And sometimes they even talk)

I know!

Your pictures from Little Mermaid are fabulous!

And John's commentary was great too.

John can come up with some really strange/funny stuff.

Now, I'm no animal expert. Oh, wait, according to my job description, yes I am! I think that's a :squirrel:, not a rat.

How do I know that?

Read it on the opposite page.

:lmao:

Guess I should have read the opposite page too! It is a well accessorized squirrel. :lmao:

Me too! So glad to be finally past that point and...oh, crap. :headache:

:rotfl:

It's not you. It's those stupid @#$% pull-string thingys! :rotfl2:

I try my best but I am not a coordinated person.

Suckers!

Aw, but it's funny!

Nice work Hunter!:thumbsup2

The boy used to play video games all the dang time that's why he's so good.

Aw, I really wanted to see the Sprite! :lmao:

Actually, I'm just impressed Hunter ordered something besides pizza.:rolleyes1

Next trip, I'm taking a picture of every single Sprite Hunter orders just so you can see them.

Oh my the sea of strollers! If DD wasn't so little I would be refusing to bring one. One thing I can say for sure I am NOT looking forward to dealing with.

Too Funny about the a T-rex playing TSM:rotfl:! He does have a point though. The arms would be too short!

Ugh, strollers! I have a feeling though that I won't mind so much when it's a grandbaby I am pushing in one.

This trip report is so good, I could sop it up with a biscuit!

:rotfl2:

Aww, thank ya!

I'm a loser and I have never done Toy Story bc we have never been able to get fastpasses for it and I can't stand in line with the kids for that long.. GEESH! Hoping super bad that we can do it next time. Our boys love Toy Story.

I am definitely one of those that has a stroller with the sea of em. It is hard trying to find them for sure. Especially when they move them at MK.

You are not a loser! You'd think that Toy Story Mania would have lost a little of it's appeal by now but it sure hasn't.

I tried looking up the book, but nothing comes up! I can see that the opposite page says "Scooter the Squirrel skipped merrily along", but no matches to that on Google!

Love the picture of Hunter with the churro! George was shocked at how big it is! :lmao:

Well Stephanie, you and Dee are smarter women that I because I didn't even pay attention to the opposite page. :rotfl:

Hunter loves the churros if they are freshly made and this one was.

Okay, so you didn't say which language, but I know for a fact that "NO" in many languages is..."NO". That shouldn't be hard. Grrr... My daughter is learning Spanish, so maybe I will "use" her to "help" on a future trip! ;) :rolleyes1

I laughed at your comment because we tried the same thing when Lacey took Spanish. But, she couldn't understand half of what they said because her teacher was a coach and only taught them the basics.

At least if you were crazy/desperate enough to get in a 75 min line for TSMM, there's stuff to look at along the way. Genius Disney.

Disney at it's best.

I sure hope someday I can meet your family in person and just walk around with you and listen to you guys talk. You're SO FUNNY!!!! :rotfl:

I would love for our paths to cross one day too!

That is so funny what John said about Ursula :rotfl::rotfl: I would of been laughing out loud too ! Oh dont feel bad about your score at TSM ours was pretty close to yours :crazy2: Here is our scores the very same day you were there :confused3 I did win over my granddaughter but not by much.

John can come up with some pretty funny stuff.

Take that win and be proud of it no matter how small of a win it was! :thumbsup2

I ditto all of this! Plus the snortin' comment and "chaps my behind." :rotfl: Love!

We have a lot of odd sayin's and I haven't used even an iota of them on my reports. You should follow us around and hear all the crazy stuff we saw.

I love the LIttle Mermaid show! So much fun!

I do too!

And I'm sorry about those rude people who pretended not to speak English. That chaps my behind too.

I knew good and well that they could understand the CM, they just didn't want to understand.

So we are still stroller people, and yes, trying to find yours in that sea of strollers when it's not where you left it? Not fun. Not fun, my friend. And we always try to park ours in a more inside spot hoping it won't get moved, but it ALWAYS does. Always. I won't miss them one day.

I remember those days of trying to park your stroller where it'd be easy to spot and get to and them BAM you walk out and it's not where you left it. :headache:

Love TSMM. LOL about the T-Rex comment. It's true, though. You know what I've found about that ride, though? We've done both stand by and FP, and the stand-by time is always posted at around 75 minutes. We have never waited that long. I think 25 minutes is the most we've waited in stand-by and that was when the line was outside the building. I think they need to get a better handle on that.

Holy churro! It looked never ending. Like it went straight into the ground!

We've done the stand by for TSM once when it said 60 minutes and it was every bit of that. From there on out, it was FP or nothing.

We will be out of strollers on our next trip, but I found that if I tied a unique bandana (or scrap of fabric) to the handle it was easier to find in the Clump-o-strollers. Thanks for giving me my Disney fix until my next trip. Hoping for Spring Break (fingers crosed).:cool1:

I used to do that too! I tied a bright ribbon around it and it did help!

Ugh, before I had my son, I never even noticed stroller parking. But that first time we had to go inside the Animation Building, I almost had a heart attack. There's just so many! It was impossible to imagine them all in the park at one time.:rotfl2:

I couldn't help but laugh at the Rex joke. It's a good point...:lmao:

You see a lot of strollers when you are in the park but you never realize just how maany until you see them all parked together. :scared1:

I have to say I am VERY glad we did not need a stroller at DHS when we went during Star Wars Weekend! That would have been a nightmare:scared1:

We loved Toy Story mania!! I keep my focus on shooting the whole time and still did not do as good as my husband whom had to let me know about it.

That Churro looks soooooo good!!!!

Oh yeah, I can just imagine what the stroller situation would have been during Star Wars Weekends. It's hard enough to navigate through there without a stroller.

The churro was good.

I am hoping to take a trip with a stroller in the next year or so. I already mentioned it to Paige. Let's hope she decides it's a good idea! :wizard:

I am terrible at Toy Story too. I usually do better on Buzz by hitting something totally random that I have no clue I have hit.

You and me both Jen! I want to take grandbabies as soon as I can! Keeping my fingers crossed that Paige will take the bait and let you schedule a trip.

The dreaded stroller parking and "helpful" re-shuffle. UGH... That happened to us once when we went on Haunted Mansion. We came out, I panicked that the stroller was gone. They'd moved it to this back area and it was soaking wet because they hose down the roofs so the fireworks don't spark anything.... I was NOT a happy mom :)

Ooooh, I would have been one mad Mama! Why in the world would they not have moved the strollers knowing that they were going to get wet?

Still here and reading along! :surfweb:

I have to agree with everyone about your southern talk/sayings. Never heard "chaps my behind" but I love that. Going to try and use it this week. :rotfl:

Glad to see you still here! I should start posting one saying per week and have ya'll use it by the time I post another. :rotfl:

We love the animation building but it seems anymore it is hard to just walk up to an animation class. They need to think about adding more seats or maybe making this a FP. We used to just walk right in but that seems impossible now. The Mushu movie is cute.

I agree! The class is a little too small.

The sea of strollers is insane. I wonder what its like to be the CM that organizes them. Hopefully it is a job that rotates with another. Can you imagine doing that all day?:sad2:

:crazy2:

Of course we are all still here Lisa!!! Love, love, love that boat shelf. You must copyright it!!! And no, you are not being all fuddy duddy about it. You made it for a certain purpose and that's what it should be for!!! Awesome job!!! :cool1:

Thanks for sticking around! I am glad that you don't think that I'm being a fuddy duddy about the boat. It's like you said, I made it for a certain purpose and I'll gladly lend it to other family but I don't even know the people asking for it.

As the bird says, "Lurk, Lurk"

Still here, lurking away!

Thanks for letting me know that you're still here!

Still here waiting for more :)

Thanks for sticking around! I have an update ready to post!

I'd never abandon your report!

That boat shelf is amazing. If people wanted to "borrow" it, I'd charge them. Not your nieces obviously, but their friends who want to use it. Charge a rental fee! Nothing wrong with that.

I'm glad to hear that you're sticking with me. It's just been busy.

That's what John said. If they want it, then pay me to make them one or rent this one.

Are we going to a rock concert or doing yard work? I’m dancin’ either way!

While standing in line for our snacks and drinks, I heard music start playing. The music was getting a little louder and I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame, like a horse to water, like flies to a cow patty. My ears led the way to the stage and there they were! Mulch! Sweat! And Shears! :rockband:

I’ve been chosen to go “on stage” (at the time they weren’t on an actual stage but on the Streets of America) and it was so much fun! They are hilarious. They stuck a cowbell and a drumstick in my hands and told me to play the cowbell and dance at the same time. Honey, I can’t even chew gum and walk at the same time much less play and dance. But I attempted it, had a fantastic time doing it and I am sure gave lots of people some hilarious memories. :p

Speaking of dancin’, I can’t dance worth spit. Oh, don’t think that my lack of rhythm keeps me from trying though. I can bust a move with the best of ‘em! Or at least bust something. :rolleyes2

The band was fantastic and played a lot of the songs that John and I listened to when we were young and dating. Back in the day when John drove a fast black and yellow Camaro and I’d get all giggly when he pulled up. The black and yellow Camaro is long gone and has been replaced with a big truck we call “Hercules” but I still get all giggly when I see him pull up. Awww, I love my John Boy! :lovestruc

Anyway, John kinda stood in the back sipping on his coffee while Hunter and I danced, sang and jumped to the music:

The lead singer came around to Hunter and I and sang to us and did a little hip bump action and moved on. Hunter thought that the concert was awesome:

If you are ever in Hollywood Studios and you hear Mulch, Sweat and Shears getting ready to play, stop and watch them. They are great! :thumbsup2

The next thing on our list of things to do was Star Tours (again) and the wait time was short so I was able to snap just one picture before entering the building:

And one with our 3D glasses on:

None of us were chosen as the Rebel Spy and I didn’t attempt to take pictures again since I hadn’t looked back to see how the first set had turned out. From Star Tours, we backtracked and went into the theater that used to house the Drew Carey Sound Whatever It Was Called. Crap! What was the name of it? I’m too lazy to google it. Anyway, they were showing a sneak peek of Maleficent.

Oh my gah! The sneak peek made us really really want to go see it in theaters but we never did which doesn’t surprise me because we aren’t big movie goers. I’d rather just wait for it to come out on DVD so we can watch it at home.

**Up next: Plop down in my lap why don’t you! Dude, you don’t have on pants!

I'm still following along, Lisa! I just have to catch up every so often...I get behind.

We actually went to Hollywood Studios for the first time in years this September. My 5-year-old loves Star Wars, so I really wanted her to get to ride Star Tours. she loved it and could have spent hours in the store afterwards. She ended up picking out a Jedi outfit for her Duffy as her souvenir.

I will try to be around more. The movers are coming next week to pack all of our stuff to get it shipped, so all I'll have to keep me occupied will be my phone and iPad for the next month and a half.

love the band!!!! they are a lot of fun! last time we saw them they were on the street and not on the stage. lots of fun!!! Love the ROCK ON hunter...next he will be riding a harley with i love Mom painted tattoo... :rotfl: dang rock music!

So cute you still get all giddy to see your hubby!!!

Have you seen Maleficent yet?

I have yet to catch Mulch, Sweat, and Shears performing, but I've heard they are pretty entertaining to listen to. I'll have to try harder in the future. Love that you two danced and cheered them on. Life's too short not to dance, even if you can't keep the beat. (Neither can I, so no judgement over here.:confused3)

You guys seem to be having a fun day at DHS!::yes::

Awww... Too cute!

I just saw an ad for Malificent the other day. I guess it's coming out on DVD soon? It looks great! This ad had different footage than the ads when it was in theaters, and it really looks good.

Glad the concert was so much fun! I'd be with John, sipping coffee rather than making a fool of myself.

From Star Tours, we backtracked and went into the theater that used to house the Drew Carey Sound Whatever It Was Called. Crap! What was the name of it?

I think Crap! was the name of it. Close enough, anyway. :rotfl::rotfl2:

I've been intrigued to catch them playing. I'll have to keep my eye out in May for them.

If you ever get a chance to hear them play, go see the show. They are great!

Awww, so you have a little Jedi Duffy now!

That dang rock and roll! :lmao:

I do still get giddy when I see John even after being married 30 years.

Nope, not yet. But, I'm betting that I will once it comes out on DVD.

They really are a great band and I love watching them perform. I can't keep a beat to save my soul but it doesn't stop me.

It's coming out next Tuesday I believe. I'll definitely be picking up our copy.

Glad the concert was so much fun! I'd be with John, sipping coffee rather than making a fool of myself.

I've read your trip reports....I'm betting that you would have been up there with Hunter and I.

I think Crap! was the name of it. Close enough, anyway. :rotfl::rotfl2:

Oh I remember it now. Crap In The Dark! Thanks for jogging my memory.:rotfl:

I've seen the group in DHD before! They are really fun and get the crowd going.

Aww you still get giggly too? I get like that with my DH too. People who say that marriage doesn't get better and better obviously aren't married to the right person!

I want to see the dresses once youre finished for the luau!

I think I read that Mulch Sweat and Tears or going to be done away with. I love them too. They Play "our" type of music for the good ole days. :rotfl2:
I always stop to watch them a bit when I see them

If you ever get a chance to hear them play, go see the show. They are great! Are you moving to Hawaii? If so :cool1:! Awww, so you have a little Jedi Duffy now!

Can you believe it? I dared my husband to apply for a job and after 6 months of interviews he got offered the position. AND they met our "no question, we are moving" salary.

I love Star Wars, so I am happy to have another fan in the house.
